I’m a horse trainer and spend a lot of time icing horses . I can’t believe how awesome these boots are for the price . A tad big on large ponies, perfect for horse up to draft sizes . Works for small and medium ponies hocks and knees . Also fits a human knee great lol ! You can take out the insert and stuff ice water bags in wrap if need somthing super cold and longer lasting . We’re ordering a bunch more !

My horse tore his check tendon. 3-6 months no riding.... So of course I am doing all I can to help him heal. This boot is easy to use, convenient and the wraps hold it securely in place. Stays cool for about an hour. Highly recommend

These are great quality for the price. Velcro is good, ice packs are fitted and soft. Neoprene is good quality. I work in the industry and these are well done. Everyone should have these in their tack room. Works on people too. Only critique is they aren’t left/right. But it works pretty good for an ice pack.

First, I will detail my experience with another style of ice boot, then describe why I like Newgo so very much. I want to cool my horse's legs promptly after a high-intensity, high-performance ride. Some of my teammates use the integrated boots that are divided into 24 squares and held in place with velcro straps. I hate those because they stick to anything they touch in the freezer, they're murder on my hands to open up and my horse does not like how cold they are (yes, his legs are hosed off first to prevent burns). They do stay very cold for quite a while but honestly, I'm not looking to freeze out the poor guy, I just want to cool his legs off fast in a comfortable way. This! is the way. I stick the Newgo packs in a very un-special, standard grocery store cooler bag and they sit while I ride but they're still frozen when I unsaddle. I like the fact they're thinner than other boots because that makes them more flexible to "mold" to either side of his legs. They slide into pockets of fitted boots that could be mistaken for polo wraps from a distance and the velcro straps make them very adjustable for various leg sizes. My guy is an XL in hind boots (draft cross) and these look like they were made for him. There are two flaps that secure the top and bottom of the boot and then four additional, supporting velcro straps. The soft lining of the boots keep him from getting uncomfortable from the temperatures and he's happy to stay ground tied while I put up his tack, grab his water bucket, etc. They stay cold all the way from 20-30 minutes but YMMV. Definitely love and recommend these for sport horses and warm climates!

Not the best for therapeutic icing as the gel doesn't really get cold enough. But, they do allow for a range of fit and stay on well, and if you put other ice packs in they keep the cold in well, with room for the added packs, so they're workable.
