With the addition of the Professor's art throughout, i almost feel like i am in his study with him as he creates this masterpiece. Reading his words exactly as his imagination intended readers to experience his Middle Earth. There is no doubt that the book is an investment, but this edition is a work of art in more than one way. You can tell this was made with love by people who love and respect JRR Tolkien. Now is the time to buy - Amazon put a deep discount on these that you shouldn't pass up if you have this on your purchase radar. Chances are you've already watched the review videos so all I will add is that these look even better in hand. Printed and Bound in Italy, these are now selling in 2nd or 3rd printings. The book ships in a nice shrink wrap and packed in a dedicated protective box by the publisher. Amazon wrapped it nicely before shipping it in their own box. This ensured the book arrived in perfect condition. I was worried that at such a discounted price that the book might be a warehouse leftover or in less than optimal condition, but I was very happy to find everything perfectly mint.
