Doesn't need software to setup - but you can use the software if you want to.

El Cheapo and a steal!
I bought this after my Razer Death Adder wheel ceased functioning (and more shortly thereafter) and had issues trying to get an replacement. So after doing some research I decided to try this and more or less to say, it's a basic gaming mouse but excellent workhorse for media, video editing, and modeling software. For the price of my now departed Death Adder I bought the black color of this mouse and a logitech 305 wireless for heavier gaming when I need precision, and the combo works beautifully. Downsides is that parts of this feel cheap but the mouse is surprisingly responsive, fits my hands nicely and is great for driving me nuts with its clicking. And the braided cable means that pinching and snapping the cord is less of a problem. I find the way to deal with cord stiffness is run the mouse over an elevated object and give some room for slack. In terms of gaming, I prefer the feel of the Razer and Logitech mice, but for work, it does great. After my last disappointing run with several Razer models, I'm glad I looked into and picked up the HyperX Core. I even bought a pink one as a backup if I break this one.

Aboslutely fantastic for it's price
Hello! I'll be putting my dislikes first so you guys dont have to read a lengthy review!Dislikes:-The mouse is very light, theres no way to change this without buying extra things. (however for a 20 dollar mouse I believe thats to be expected)-However because of its weight... it kind of feels a little flimsy-It is quite small which is a perfect fit for me but I'm tiny.... so be warned if you have large hands.-No extra dpi settings for the mouse itself. for slower dpi users like myself it kind of sucks watching my mouse fly across my screen. (this is worsened by how light it is.)Likes-The clicks sound GREAT. If you are a person who hates the sort of high pitched clicking of the mouse this one has nice deeper tones.- The mouse scroll wheel is extremely natrual to use. It doesn't feel chunky at all.-Ive had it for a while now and for its price it's quality is suprisingly good. I have been taking care of it as well as I could but the buttons dont feel sticky and the mouse is still just AMAZING to look at.-It glides across the mouse pad. (its really just so nice to feel, BUT ITS A DOUBLE EDGED SWORD!)If anything changes, I'll be back to edit this review.

Amazing!
I bought this for my daughter to replace her Razer Deathadder Essential. I wanted something affordable, functional since she's also a gamer, and that will fit into her aesthetic. After reading other reviews, I went with this mouse and I'm so glad I did! It's very well made, comfortable in your hand, so responsive, you can adjust not only the dpi, but you can set the rgb (which the razer didn't have), and the pink is a gorgeous pastel color. I would absolutely recommend this mouse to anyone!
