Works Fine - but horrible packaging
Installed memory - no problem, works fine. But, the packaging was just horrible. The memory was in the usual static resistance plastic envelope which was fine. BUT, the memory was then placed in a large over sized THIN plastic envelope - no bubble wrap or even a simple bubble type envelope. NO packaging what so ever. I was surprised that the memory still worked when I installed it.

Will give new life to your old Dell laptop
Replaced the original 1 GB of RAM with this 2 x 2 GB (4 GB total) memory DIMMs has given a new life, and new possibilities to my Dell Latitude D620. Previously, booting, starting applications, even going through the c:\ drive (yes, Windows 7 here) would be an extremely slow and painful process. Drop down menus would take 30 seconds to show up when clicking on buttons, web browsing was amazingly slow, the hard disk was going on and on all the time. The computer was spending all its time swapping/paging between RAM and HD.Now, this 4 GB is in... Starting the laptop takes a fraction of time, and once the desktop is on, the HD is no longer going like it used to be. Starting applications is immensely faster. For the low price of this memory, I took a leap of fate. When you go for "official" Dell recommended memory, it costs 3 to 4 times the price of this pair of sticks. Is this New Old Stock ? Or is this RAM salvaged from recycled computers ? I do not know for sure, the sticks look in excellent condition and the seller advertises this as new. But for sure, they work great so it is a good buy.For Dell Latitude users, when upgrading the RAM, the first time you reboot, you will be greeted with a black screen, a big beep, and then a message that the amount of memory has changed. From there, there seems like nothing can be done to continue with booting. Wait a couple of minutes, and a new line will show up asking to either press F1 (continue) or F2 (setup). Press F1 and you will have Windows (or Linux) starting in no time.

Inexpensive Memory That Works Perfectly In A Dell D630
Was looking for cheap memory to upgrade an old Dell that I use for a specific purpose. This set was reasonably-priced, fit right into the D630, and has been running well. Really speeded up the application with which I primarily use it, cutting down on reaches out to the paging file. Well worth the investment, even on an old computer. Hint: One stick goes under the panel under the computer; the other goes under the keyboard. There are a couple of videos on YouTube that show you how to do this, and they are worth watching because, at least for me, it was a simple "watch and learn and look out for that" that made the task as easy as any other memory replacement. I would normally be wary about pulling up a keyboard, and with the video it was quick and painless, for me and the computer.

RAM is great stuff
I had found a video on utube showing me how and I followed it. But I then got the message "The amount of system memory has changed" and a suggestion to reseat the memory" which I did several times, and kept getting that same message. Researching it further online I came to: .... " let the computer sit there for at least 10 minuites max. you will eventually see a dialog stating "press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup." I let the 'reseat the memory' message sit up on the screen for a few minutes (maybe 3.4) and like magic the computer took care of the problem. I was asked to press F1, which I did, and all became fine. The computer now runs considerably quicker, as expected, and I'm thrilled by that.Nice price, fast delivery, many thanks

A Luxury Item For Sure That Comes Highly Recommended...
Purchased this set to increase my D620's memory capacity from 2GB to 4GB by replacing (2) 1GB chips with (2) 2GB chips. My boot/shutdown times have improved as well as program load seems to be easier on the dual core processors.I would consider this purchase to be a luxury item for those who have later model D-series machines with 1GB chips pre-installed. However, I emphatically recommend this upgrade if you tend to use, or plan to use, memory intensive programs that have the capacity to bog down system resources.

good fix vs repair shop
saved my laptop from going in the trash. My husband discovered my laptop kept crashing so much due to not having enough operating memory and this took care of the problem. Good fix if you know what you are doing. No issues with mailing/packaging and as advertised. Buying this saved us from taking it to a repair shop and having a $100 bill for doing the same work.

my bad. However
I thought I was purchasing one card of 4GB when, in fact, it was two cards. I did not read the information correctly, my bad. However, the card was very easy to install in my laptop. I do need to investigate purchasing one 4GB card which would be more suitable for my needs.
