Its honeycomb textured surface ensures superior heat distribution, while the heavy-gauge aluminum core and magnetized induction base deliver rapid, even heating. ## Description

The Green Ceramic Pan Set by Ozeri includes an 8", 10" and 12" frying pan that each offers a non-stick solution while remaining free of PTFE, perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) such as PFBS, PFAS, PFOS and PFOA, APEO, GenX, and the lesser known chemicals NMP and NEP. Conventional pans sometimes achieve their non-stick performance through a waxy synthetic coating of PTFE, which under extreme temperatures begins to decompose and release fumes that can be harmful to humans and pets. Additionally, PTFE is often manufactured with the aid of PFOA and other perfluorinated chemicals, potential carcinogens which the EPA has classified as a 'persistent pollutant of the environment,’ and APEO, which are under restricted use in Germany due to concerns about their poor biodegradability and toxicity. The Green Ceramic Pan's ceramic coating from Weilburger, Germany never releases harmful toxins. The coating is applied using a water-based Sol Gel Technique which is also free of the lesser known chemicals NMP and NEP. The Green Ceramic Pan is made of die-cast aluminum and boasts a magnetized bottom for rapid heat transfer on induction stoves, and a honeycomb ceramic cooking surface for optimized heat distribution. Coating made by Weilburger GmbH, Germany. Assembled in China.

Review: Much Better Than High End Cast Iron - Updated May 2012 - I wrote the first review in January. After using these pans daily since we received them, I have to say they're still terrific. I know some of the reviews report that the non-stick coating doesn't last, but we haven't had any issues with them. I don't wash the pans. I do wipe them out with a dish towel as soon as I remove food from them, when they're still warm. I keep them seasoned with a small amount of coconut oil. Occasionally, residue builds up on the side of one of the pans. When that happens, I fill the pan with warm water and add an anti-grease dish soap, such as Dawn or Ful-Sol, and let it soak overnight. Then I just rinse it out and dry it with a towel--no scrubbing and no more residue. I season the pan before using it again. I'm very careful not to use metal utensils for cooking; instead, I use silicon, wood, or utentils made specifically for non-stick pans. -------- January 2012 - We've been concerned for some time about toxins from traditional non-stick pans. So we invested in high end French cast iron several years ago. They're expensive and heavy, and not as non-stick as we'd hoped. After reading the reviews, we decided to try the 3-Pan set of Green Earth Pans and are delighted we did. As avid Atkins dieters, we eat a lot of protein, particularly eggs and fish. Both brown nicely in the Green Earth pans, and can be cooked with little to no oil or butter. Clean up is simple--just a wipe with a soft cloth or sponge, which we prefer over paper towels. We've been looking at ceramic pans for a while and were careful about investing. Most brands seemed expensive and unproven. The price point with Green Earth was what we were looking for and the desertcart reviews helped us make the decision to buy. It was a good decision, and one we'd make again.
Review: Best of the best, they do require oil like most other non stick, but much less - The pans seem to be a newer version than one negative review I saw on you tube, the bottom of the pan in flat instead of having little cylander protrusions. I have used the pans about 3 times, they do say on the box that they use much less oil, so I don't think their intended to be 100% non stick, I think this is true for most brands that advertise none stick, I am really carefully when storing them I place the pans inside eachother with paper towels in between like the instructions say, not specifically, buritto just says. No pan on pan contact for longevity, it also says to oil the pans every few times before storing them, I oil them every time. I like how they cook and the fact that. No other ceramic coated pan advertises their pan as being free from lead, this one is free from all heavy metals. If you like to make stir fry I would suggest you get the matching glass lid for the 12 in pan. You next step is replacing your rice cooker with a stainless steel one, the very best of the best is the tantung in ss. I will probably post another comment in a few months to talk about the non stick, but I really don't see that as an issue if you use less amounts of oil like the box says. I see stuff sticking to them without using oil, just get yourself a special brush that you can brush on small amounts of oil with. I've looked into the pump oil misters like misto but if you are worried about aluminum then you should consider other options like a bottle with a spout of the oil brush, I've tried buying the universal spouts they sell everywhere but they don't fit flush with the bottle and the plastic cap gets in the way of pouring and it is also sometimes hard to remove without pulling the spout out of the bottle. I saw the oil brush on dr oz and it looks like the best way, I'm sure there are different kinds. Good luck with getting healthy.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Choice
*by V***A on March 5, 2013*

When it came time to replace our old pans I did considerable research. I wanted pans that were non stick, non toxic and reasonably priced. The Ozeri pans seemed to satisfy all my requirements. I have used the pans now for 2 and 1/2 months. I wanted to make sure they had a good "test drive" before I reviewed them. I knew of several individuals who had purchased other brands and found that initially they were stick free but after several uses found that eggs, in particular, stuck to the pan surface. I am very pleased to state that after 2 1/2 months of regular use the Ozeri pans have held up beautifully. As per Ozeri's instructions I do periodically use a little oil in the pan. I do not over wash the pans and do not use high heat when cooking. The pans cook beautifully using moderate and low heat settings. I have slightly damaged one pan because I burnt what I was cooking. My fault not the pans. The pan became discolored and there is a mark on the ceramic surface where the item burned. But it is still non stick. I am glad I did the research and chose the Ozeri pans.
