A tip for people with sensitive skin
So the way I initially used this product was to just wash my face, pat dry and the apply it directly onto my skin. Within one week of doing this, I noticed that my skin's natural barrier was compromised. My skin would feel tingly throughout the day and would straight up sting when I smile or yawn or move my facial muscles in any way. So I stopped using the serum and reverted to using just a moisturizer before bed for around 10 days in an attempt to soothe my skin.Did some research to understand why this happened, and concluded that the concentration was just too high for my skin to immediately get accustomed to (I had previously been using 0.2%). The solution for this issue was to use the sandwich method: one layer of moisturizer, wait 10 minutes, the retinol serum, wait 20-25 minutes, and top off with another layer of moisturizer. This method helped reap the benefits of the serum without irritating my (very sensitive) skin.Overall, this is a wonderful oil-based product - very light weight and didn't cause my oily skin to break out. Its scent is so mild that it's negligible. It definitely gave my skin that ✨glow✨ and I hope it'll work for you too!
