EWO'S 5J.J7L05.001 W1070 Lamp Bulb for Benq W1070 W1080st HT1075 HT1085st Projector Replacement Lamp Bulb, with Housing

We were incredibly pleased to find this product on Amazon. Our prior bulb failed after we accidentally left it on for a week while we were on Vacay. That one was close to $300. This one was 1/3rd the price but an almost identical product when we inspected it. The install was pretty clean. You have to really pay attention to the details and take a moment to focus on it while you do it. You don't want to hose your $1000 projector with a $100 lamp. Really like this product. We were going to upgrade to a 4K projector when the last bulb died as the projector, a BenQ, was only $750. That being said now that we have a source for these affordable lamps, we are going to stick it out with this projector a wee bit longer.

We have the BenQ W1070ST and are very happy with it's performance. Came time to replace the lamp and this one served it up well. Amazon shipped it out immediately, I had a tracking number in less than an hour which was very impressive. Received the lamp in 2 days and installed it which was very easy. I like the fact they tell you the performance of the lamp so we can measure the overall rating. So far so good and will definitely come back here for the next one. The lamp we ordered was a 5J.J7L05.001 which we looked up in the owners manual.

Ordered the bulb in May. It installed super easy, just as the seller claimed. But, it's August 7th, and the bulb is fried. Just quit without warning! Was going to play some games last night, the picture began to turn weird colors and distort. I hit the off button on my remote and now it won't turn back on. Very disappointed Update 8/8/2018: well, these guys got back to me after just one day. Turns out the bulb was still covered under the 180 day premium warranty. They told me not to ship them the old bulb and a new bulb was on it's way. Now thats what I call service!!

Searching for a replacement lamp for my BenQ HT1075 I chose this one due to it being sold on Amazon and having good reviews. The screw holes didn't line up as well as the original BenQ lamp and it was made more difficult to install. Starting up first time I noticed it wasn't as bright as my original BenQ lamp, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. It's worked fine otherwise until three weeks ago when it suddenly shut off going black while watching Youtube. Several more times switch it on and it'd suddenly go black. It'll suddenly go black and the projector will shut down with a red LED on "Lamp". According to the manual of the BenQ HT1075 the red LED on "Lamp" means a defective lamp. Anytime I turn on the projector this lamp it will stay on 15 minutes and go black, a few times it's stayed on for an hour and go black. Tonight it stayed on for 35 minutes for a Blu-ray and shut off. I've run my projector exclusively in Eco-Mode and have 617 hours on this EWO lamp , my original BenQ lamp had over 6000hrs before failure! The EWO lamp is even dimmer now than before! I opened up my projector compartment and gently sprayed dust out of the front vent and floor so to be sure the airflow is good. There is no doubt the EWO lamp is defective. E-MORSE is the seller and they have not offered to replace my defective lamp. The only response I got from them I found in my email offering to take 50% off my next purchase from them. I responded back that I want a replacement and haven't heard a thing back in two days. I spent $89.99 for 600hrs of use, that's not that great of a deal when the official lamps get you over 6000hrs for $250.

I bought for the price and the installation was a breeze but then my BenQ started throwing difference errors and overheating etc. Turns out the previous bulb exploded and sent glass everywhere inside the projector. After getting everything cleaned out, all is well. For the price, it's a good bulb but not as bright as stock and picture quality isn't as good as stock either. It does the job for now but after this i'll spend the money for the BenQ replacement bulb.

I have bought two of these lamps for use in a W1070 and used each for 6000h. No problems with either one. I do notice that the brightness degrades with time but it's really only evident when I switch the bulbs. I use it as the main big screen in a dim (not pitch black) location. I would recommend this lamp. ---- Third lamp exploded at 1500h. Unpleasant but did not damage my projector or hurt anyone. I purchased a fourth lamp, but will switch to OEM if it happens again.

This was the second time the bulb in my BenQ W1080ST had died and I knew that I should replace not just the bulb, but the housing around it this time. After a move cross-country, the projector had been knocked around a bit and the bulb was the main victim. Although I purchased a refurbished/returned bulb, I received everything I needed packed and cared for well (Cardboard box, Air packing, and bubble wrap). The package was very well taken care of for such a delicate item. Install was very simple. Simply remove one screw to unseat the lid of the projector, loosen one screw on the bulb housing, and pull it out by the handle. Reverse these steps with the new bulb and you're all set! The projector is nice and bright, providing an excellent picture once again. I am happy with the color reproduction. It doesn't seem that there are any issues at all. I'll definitely look here again the next time our bulb needs replacing.

Replaced my OEM Benq W1070 bulb after it blew in early 2019 (after 4 years of use since Jan 2015). Replaced with this EWO bulb, probably wasn’t as bright but I didn’t notice at the time. Everything was excellent about the 1st bulb from EWO. 3 years later (2500hr or so) the 2019 EWO burnt out (no pop at least!). I ordered from another company online, that bulb is oem orsam but in different housing and I’m not super happy with the colors even though brightness is fantastic. So I order EWO again and my second EWO bulb comes in the mail with no fragile sticker or tape and also the EWO box is inside a plastic Amazon sleeve soooo transport damage? Nah. Plug that puppy in and instant greyscale flickering. Pull that out, complain to Amazon about the packaging, they send new one for free in same plastic packaging oy vey. Pop that now third EWO bulb in and it works! But then… I switch lamp power and picture profiles and it blurbs into grey scale flickering and then shuts off. Projector still runs but absolutely no light like bulb has blown. Drat! Dunno if it’s amazon’s packaging but I doubt it. It’s most likely the bulb itself or the wiring. Not a very nice experience. Also there were little black flecks all over the wires and housing. At this point after going through two suppliers and three bulbs for a cheaper option I’m probably just gonna drop the $250 for OEM from BenQ. Or I’ll just stick with the third party OEM bulb from that other seller that has slightly off colors. What to do what to do? I just wanna play Elden Ring, man.

I bought this bulb 5 years ago and it just finally went, Use my projector 3 hours a day at minimum . Definitely was a Solid purchase back in 2021. Ill order another and see if it still stacks up. Great product

Having issues with this bulb in my Benq 1070 Bulb seems to operate hotter than other bulbs which is making my projectors fan speed on max. My projector will stay on for an hour or so then shut down due to overheating Didn’t have this issue with my other replacement bulb Will come back to this post with an update

Ordered this to replace the original bulb in my 1070 benq projector. Happy with the brightness and overall bulb quality.

Have had it for 11 months, Worked great, and died customer service got right back to me and is shipping replacement ;)

Each time that I turn on the projector I get a message that the bulb needs too be replaced. I just have to hit Enter and Everything works as it should.
