Cudy AC1200 Wi-Fi Repeater Range Extender, 1-Port, 3 in 1 Mode, RE1200

This was a replacement for our other (much more expensive) repeater that suddenly went out. It was only $20 so I was concerned about the quality. I was not disappointed in this. It's twice the size of our old one and It works flawlessly! Our old one constantly buffered but this one is doesn't have any problems! It has an app for easy set up and troubleshooting if necessary. It puts out a strong signal too. We have multiple devices connected to it see I highly recommend this product!

I used this extender to replace an IoT devices Wi-Fi internet adapter. While I could not find just an adapter (wired to Wi-Fi) that would do what I needed so I decided to look at Wi-Fi extenders that had at least one wired port. This unit allows both older and newer devices to connect and the onboard management interface is fairly straight forward to work with. One issue I had seen with extenders was that they would rebroadcast your network settings and possibly not be as secure as your primary Wi-Fi router setup. While these units are not as robust, you can mimic most of the security settings of your primary system and then hide the SSID by not broadcasting it. This has worked perfect for my wired device connection and allows me to extend the Wi-Fi signal even though that was not my original intention. They do say it works with most routers, and I can verify it works well with the Netgear Nighthawk line.

I use this extender as a wireless access point, connected directly to my router, because my router's wireless is pathetic. It works well in place of my router, but the 5G range doesn't seem to be too good. From 2 rooms away, I can barely get a signal. I understand that 2.4 GHz Wifi can travel farther than 5G, but the super limited range still doesn't seem right. That said, it still works well with 2.4, and I get good speeds. The browser control panel also has an easy to use, clean looking design.

The Cudy AC1200 WiFi Extender, 1.2Gbps Home Signal Booster, Dual Band 5GHz/2.4GHz is excellent and easy to set up. It took only about 5 minutes to pair the AC1200 to my Xfinity Modem. I currently have 3 AC1200 extenders throughout the house and highly recommend this product.

Slows WiFi a lot and randomly doesn’t work for a period of time.

It works as expected. The good thing is it doesn’t block the second plug on a 2 plug outlet.

I didn't think this did a great job and it seems like if you want to connect to it you have to pick that wifi router it just doesn't pick up on it. I don't have the time to jump back and fourth.

Has proved to be an excellent option to extend the range of our SonicWall Wireless WIFI router in our business office. Easy to set-up and mitigated the need to add costly SonicWall Access Points. We use two of these devices to get full coverage in our 3800 sq ft office.

Dobry zasięg 8m od rutera wifi i do kamery wifi na zewnątrz przez ścianę z oknem 5m , konfiguracja na telefonie w 15 minut. Zobaczymy jak po dłuższym używaniu.

Verbinden met de router ging soepel via WPS. Waarschijnlijk heb ik een instelling gemist maar hij heeft de SSID naam niet gekopieerd dus het werd een nieuwe SSID met EXT erachter. Hierdoor werkte mijn standaard wachtwoord niet. Dat moest ik even handmatig instellen via de handige en overzichtelijke CUDY app en nu werkt alles helemaal naar behoren! Een elegante, makkelijke, goedkope en perfect werkende oplossing voor een beter WIFI signaal in huis! De WIFI repeater staat nu 6 meter hemelsbreed (met muren ertussen) van de router af en ik heb nu in de rest van mijn huis razendsnelle verbinding en ook de repeater LED geeft een blauw signaal (sterkte verbinding met de router). Ook is het handig om de mogelijkheid te hebben in de toekomst eventueel nog mijn Nvidia Shield aan te sluiten via ethernet voor nog stabielere streaming, maar eerst kijken hoe het draadloos gaat. Ik ben helemaal tevreden en kan het zeker aanraden!
