These pads are great for the corner areas, just make sure to let expand all the way and take shape. I used the water technique to make sure they took shape. They work really well.

The foam is OK in itself. The mounting squares adhere much better to my wall than the foam. After two days about half the pieces were peeling away and no amount of pressure was sufficient to get them to stick to the foam. I ended up using mounting putty which sticks to the foam much better.

I can't really comment on their effectiveness of what they're designed to do since I had mounting issues.As a renter/leasee, these adhesive pads were a horrible solution for mounting. The original method of mounting these pads didn't work and all fell off 2-3 hours later. Now, they had a "pro tip" suggestion that DID actually work and I tested that method on two bass traps. But the adhesive pads themselves were my concern as far as removing. I spent several hours carefully removing the pads and they still managed to peel off some paint from the walls.True North should post their application guidelines here at Amazon so others won't have the same issues that I had. They also should post their "pro tips" along with their regular instructions here since that method worked dramatically better. I'm not giving up on these just yet. I'm going to add a question in the "questions" section here for an alternate solution to mounting using "Command Strips" instead of their adhesive pads.

At first listen I think it has helped eliminate room modes but I have not done any critical listening to compare with and without and I have not compared to any other products. I bought this based on its relatively small footprint (6" by 6") fitting well in the space available, Amazon reviews of similar products, and price. Better options were substantially more expensive.

You have to realize that a bass ABSORBER will be THICK. Other methods are preferred. These wedges work well to calm corner hi-mid reflections. Take them out of the package, soak in water for a minute and carefully squeeze out the water. Let them dry out (a day or so) and they come back to nice shape.

I put these in my drum studio and it cut back the bass enough for me to still get some acoustics. That is what I was looking for. I used a small nail to put on the wall.

They claim 12 x 6 x 6 inches, but mine are 12 x 5 x 6 inches. I purchased two sets of eight and they are all like that. At least they match. However, that means that the angle of the exposed side needs to tilt more towards one direction or the other. That could be a "feature" for certain configurations, but definitely not as advertised.

Foam is dense

Following all steps required to adhering the traps to my walls, they refuse to stay stuck for any amount of time.I resorted to applying super glue to the double sided adhesive that comes with them, and still the foam will not stay up in place. Frustrating. I'm not sure how to get these to stay up.Quality wise they seem good but I haven't really had a chance to experience their effect on noise suppression.
