The Black Belt Memory Jogger (Second Edition)

The Black Belt Memory Jogger is exactly what the title says. It is an excellent resource of explanations and idea starters for the tools you learned in Six Sigma training, but haven't used in a while. It also contains a fair amount of related tools and methods that make projects more effective. It is not a substitute for in-depth materials and you won't be able to use most of the tools based on the Memory Jogger alone without previous training. I especially like that each item starts with "why use it?" The clear description helps me decide if this is really the tool I need. I also like the examples, which are drawn from situations most people can easily understand. I would recommend this for anyone who has been through Green Belt or Black Belt training, and for any Master Black Belt who wants help giving clear explanations when coaching project teams.

The book is good for reference, however the small print makes it very difficult to read, so it turns out that it is not very useful. I user my computer instead. I did not realize that it would be this small when I ordered it. Make sure you check size before you order.

This is a very useful reference book. It would be better, however, if it had a linked table of contents.

For the book itself, I would not recommend it to people who find difficulty reading such small books and the use of spring to bind the book is unconventional. I might lose some pages over time. The content however lives up to its promise of being a handy reference guide.

It is concise and easy to understand. For those who are planning to take Six Sigma Blackbelt certification, it is a good starter. For SSBB professional, it is a good review material.
