I had to replace the front door handle. My old handle was 6 years old and doubled in price over the years. This handle was more affordable. It was easy to install and looks nice other than the bottom bolt went all the way through the door. I don't love the way the bottom part looks on the inside of the house. Overall I like the outside look, it seems sturdy, and the price was half of others. I would purchase again.

No it is not as sturdy as the $200 but is more that sturdy enough to handle the traffic of my front door. Few years back I decided a black door handle and lock would look good on my front door. I sprayed it with heat resistant black but the morning east sun was took much for it. The paint started to chip and pee. This is a great solution and works well.

I just had it installed by a professional a short while ago on the front door. I cannot say how easy it would be for a lay person to install it as I did not do it myself, but it took him only a short while. Didn't seem too difficult to install. It looks good and seems to be good quality. I am satisfied with them now. Will update "if" color changes after a few month's use.

I installed this latch on my daughter’s front door. After less than six weeks, I am seeing the weak link.The latch mechanism is split to allow the inside and outside handles act independently. Two stampings located side by side that are 1mm thick and contact a small stamped finger in the latch. The latch is a series of stampings held together by four small bent tabs instead of rivets.During use, the tab connected to the inside handle slipped out of position and jammed the latch. My daughter’s family were locked in and had to exit via another door. I was able to spring the latch housing and reset the parts only to have the latch jam a second time.I had to open the latch housing and bend some of the parts inside to make it functional. I also greased the internals in the hope this will make the parts slide easier. I am disappointed that I had to do so much work on a part that has been in service for less than six weeks. I have little confidence that this part will hold up in continued service.
