Don't waist your money and time. It's cheap junk. You get what you pay for!!! I plugged it in before installing. Everything worked and the LED's looked really good. Took my time to do a detailed job of cleaning under the tailgate then sticking it on. I even rolled it out the day before so it would be flat and smooth. The adhesive wasn't very good and I don't think it would have stayed in place very long. After installing, I checked all the functions of the LED's. I noticed it wasn't working like it did the first time I plugged it in. Checked the four pin plug and everything was fine. Each time I tried it I noticed the LED's were doing weird things. Some were working, but not going all the way to the edges of the bar. I gave up on it until the following day. I tried it again and it was even worse with the LED's going bonkers flashing on and off with no consistency. This thing is so cheapy made it's mind blowing. The four pin plug and wiring are so thin. I never should have ordered it knowing this would probably happen. I've already boxed it back up and printed the return label as a defective item and will be taking it to my local UPS drop off tomorrow morning. I will be buying a quality "American Made" LED bar soon. Yes, it will cost me more, but it will work properly and last!!!

The media could not be loaded. Whoever wrote the program for the microcontroller does not understand the signals on a 4 wire trailer harness. When you step on the brakes, initially the yellow strip will come on and then switch to intense red. The yellow should not come on at all. When braking and using a turn signal simultaneously, things really get funky. The correct direction flashes in sequence as it should, but the opposite half of the yellow strip also flashes. This is very unclear signaling and liable to get you pulled over. The LEDs themselves are sufficiently bright, but the wiring is cheap and should be a studier gauge. Don't buy this crap. See the attached video for the issues I described. Note the flickering you see in the video is due to the camera and your eye won't see that. Also the dark spots you see towards the edges are due to my installation (those LEDs are blocked by a bolt).UPDATE: The seller reached out and offered me a full refund, which I accepted. They say that there is definitely something wrong with the strip I have. Nice that they did this without asking me to return it as it's fastened in place and not easily removed.
