Brooks skewers almost every ethnic, racial and political stereotype in a move even he admits could not be made today. It's a sad commentary that while the movie is hilarious, today's tight-assed audiences would be offended by nearly every other word and scene. SJWs would be perpetually offended by everything and I personally would find that as hilarious as the movie itself.In fact, when I recently watched the remake of The Magnificent 7, I was reminded of Blazing Saddles and actually thought of 7 as a bloody and "for real" version of Blazing Saddles.So many real comic geniuses in it are dead, to our loss. Gene Wilder as the Waco Kid; Cleavon Little as Black Bart; Slim Pickens as Mr. Taggart, henchman to Heddy ("that's HEDLEY") LaMarr. the ueber-villain, and Madeline Kahn as Lilli von Schtupp, a chateuse who falls to Bart's decent manliness.

Hysterical movie. Figured Id buy a copy before the PC police ban this movie too.Nothing can be funny these days without offending someone. Watch, this review will offend someone!

Its the original version (not "politically correct) and funnier then all get out. If folks would bother to read some of the credits - THEY'D note that Richard Pryer was a contributing writer in this movie. Guess that say's a lot for the boozo's who are offended because its uses the language and actions of the time. This version also has interviews with cast member's (that are still alive), who talk about the movie, and experiences making it.

Love this movie! I bought a copy just in case it ever gets censored due to overly sensitive people.

To say that "they don't make them like this anymore" would be silly because they CAN'T make them like this anymore. At least not without having the professional victims screaming and the Hollywood hypocrites blackballing anyone daring to appear on screen.Unfortunately, those who would re-write history to suit today's PC culture would have others believe that actual history had no basis in reality. Anyone who would call Brooks a racist needs to watch the commentaries that accompany the film.

It’s the original which is what I was hoping for and crossing my fingers would arrive and by golly that what we got! 😊 The 1974 version is hysterical. I saw it in theatres that year and was wanting to see it again.

Mel Brooks is at his funniest in this tale of cowboys and the west. If this ever happened, I doubt the west ever would have been settled. Bringing in the law to tame this wild west town didn't seem like a possibility, until a new guy arrived in town. Brooks keeps the laughs coming all the way through this silly western tale. I'm sure all of you immature people just loved the campfire and beans - but that's Mel Brooks and his comedy at it's best.

It doesn't look like a genuine copy. The box and printing is in very low quality and the DVD itself looks like something it would have made by me.I will keep it because it was my favorite comedy when I was young.

By far one of the top 10 funniest movies in cinema history..the high brow racism aside, there will never be another western spoof like this..Hasn't aged a bit..

never showed up.... after a email they came clean and let me know its been damaged severely..... they never got ahold of me and i think they ever would have if i did not email them. there giving me a discount on my next order through the seller but i wont be doing that ever again. the movie is a classic and very good. the service and transparency is garbage !

Blazing Saddles is an absolutely hilarious movie. I purchased it for my brother's birthday. It made his day! It's one of his favorite movies.

This is a great classic movie. It would be censored heavily if shown today due to changes in what society deems acceptable language and behaviour.
