We had previously tried the Caledon Farms brand in a smaller size and I was glad to find this larger package. The treats are dehydrated and most of the pieces are fairly thick which I appreciate because it takes him awhile to finish one piece. Some of the pieces are very large and I had to use heavy duty kitchen shears to cut them smaller. Our pup has no trouble chewing them or digesting them, he just can’t inhale them as he does his other treats. This yields a more satisfying experience for him and ends up being less costly than lots of little treats. The fact that these are a single ingredient product and a quality vegetable that makes it a healthy snack is a win-win for all of us. The funny thing is that he will readily grab one if I hand it to him and eat it immediately. However, if he is being crated, he will eat his other treats immediately, but saves the sweet potato for when we let him out and then he really savors it! The only aspect that could be a downside for some people is that the treat sometimes leave an orange spot on the floor where he eats it.
