Good brush, but sheds
June 2020:Pro: The handle is very comfortable The bristles are not soft, more hard/medium. Bristles get softer with time. Teeth feel well brushed.Con: The bristles shed and spread out early. It seems that the bristles won't last long. This is my first time using a Boar Bristles, so I'm not sure if this is normal.April: 2021:I have used all of the brushes. The pack lasted me 10 months. I changed the brush about every 2 months, instead of the plastic 3 month because the bristles do wear down more than the plastic alternative. This should be expected: it is made of hair, not plastic. Each new brush does shed during the first use, but considering that the product is biodegradable and prevents yet another plastic brush entering the landfill, it's worth a couple hairs in my mouth. Honestly, some brushes shed one hair and others shed four. It's a minor nuisance. I purchased another pack and plan to use them moving forward because they are good quality. As far as I know, this is the only toothbrush that is completely compostable.Note: I went to the dentist last month and was praised for my oral health. Prior to the boar brushed, I used a cheap electric toothbrush. I've always taken care of my teeth, but this was one of the few times I was complemented by a dental professional. These brushes paired with eco friendly floss have helped me maintain my oral health just as well (if not better) than plastic products.

Nice product, plesently surprised
I like these toothbrushes, they are "cool" because they haven't fell apart and they have softened up a bit. I think I've been using them about a month now. Only a few bristles fell out. Not anything to really mention but for what it's worth it no biggie. By not using plastic. It's a win win. Im excited about it, and I would like to gift this to some folks, but who knows if they understand about microplastics. I understand, and there's my review. Good stuff.

Try these brushes
Nice brushes. I like the packaging they come in. Yes, some bristles will fall out the first few times you use it, but its since stopped for me. I was concerned these boar bristles would be too stiff and that horse hair might be a better choice, but these ones are plenty soft for me, while still feeling effective.

The best toothbrush I've ever had — plastic-free, compostable!
This is, without a single doubt, the best, most enjoyable toothbrush I have ever used.First, let's be clear: Plant-based plastic is still plastic. Charcoal colored nylon is still nylon. Nylon bristles on a compostable bamboo handle, still generates plastic waste. "BPA-Free Soft Bristles" are still plastic bristles. And whenever you see "plant-based nylon", well it's nylon which is... right, plastic! This is also the case of the "castor bean oil" bristles, which are nylon, which is, yes, plastic too!! There are *no* actually compostable toothbrushes out there that don't use boar-hair bristles. (I am vegan, but I can tell you, the boars probably prefer we use their hair than continue to pump micro-plastics in the environment and food chain.)Currently, if you are not using "boar-hair bristles" — then what you are using is plastic. They may market it many different ways, but it is plastic. So, this toothbrush is fantastic. I used the tip that says to soak it in boiling water for 15 mins before use, and that's it. I make sure to rinse it from toothpaste so it doesn't become gross. I flick it dry once I am done. That's it.The photo is of a toothbrush I have used twice daily for a month. If you are resistant to plastic waste, I promise you, this is not just a terrific toothbrush, it's one that will make you feel every time you use it, like a hero! Also: I used to use an electric toothbrush (with a plastic head), and I still do once or twice a week. But I noticed that the electric toothbrush tend to recede your gums. By switching back to manual my gums healed in about a month, so this toothbrush is better for you than electric.I never thought I would get so excited about a toothbrush. OH! And be sure to check out the wonderful silk floss to completely eliminate plastic from your teeth brushing routine. (The toothpaste tablets are not yet market ready, but they will be the next thing...)

Bristles fall out everytime into my mouth when brushing.
1 star for exposureGuys, the bristles fall out, I tried all 6 brushes. Every time bristles in my mouth. Stuck on the back of my tongue making me gag trying to scrap them off my tongue to get them out. Washed out my mouth for 10 minutes making sure I get them all out.Tried soaking the brush in warm water as directed first. Nothing mattered. This might be the best company in the world, maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad batch. Just the anxiety of accidentally swallowing a bristle is not worth it to me. Like, literally every time bristles came out, even if I gently used the brush just on the exterior of my teeth. Thanks for trying to make an all natural brush.

Upside-Love cleaning performance/downside-Irritated lips
I ❤️that these toothbrushes are all natural especially the boar bristles. However w/ 2x/day brushing I found that the wood irritated the corners of my mouth and the inner part of my lips. I feel this was b/c the wood portion of the toothbrush, rubbing against my mouth. I would ❤️ to C some type of PBA free coating on the head & upper portion of handle-perhaps porcelain handle? Otherwise gr8 TB!

The best toothbrush ever!!!!
I have no complaints about this product. I have not had any problems with repeated use about any bristles falling out. It's holding up to rigorous brushing. We are getting rid of as many plastic products in our home as we can, and this toothbrush was heaven sent! Especially since we put these things inside one of our most absorbent areas of the body (teehee). The bristles feel gentle on the teeth, a little weird to brush your tongue with, and at first it does feel strange to have hairs brushing you lol. But overall I feel like my gums are healthier than they used to be (it's been almost a month of using this tooth brush).Try it, everyone!
