Review: failed after 30 minutes - This is a great little gearmotor, it is stable at 12vdc with good torque. during testing it began to slow and finally just stopped. It bumped one more time and now it no longer moves. I am sure that I got a weak one. I hope replacement will be easy enough.
Review: Have owned several, latest one won't rotate at speed - failed in one month - I have had great lusk with these motors operating solar shades. Lates purchase failed two days after desertcart return policy ended. I was on vacation, and just got back to observe the failure. If geartisan is reading these, I would appreciate a replacement unit. These are great little motors with long life, and I am very surprised that I got a bum one.

**Q: Do you think it will turn the whole lamb ?**
A: Depending on the size and willingness of the lamb, it might.

**Q: How many kw do they draw?**
A: It would be more practical to ask "how much current does it draw?" The power consumption would be better expressed in milliwatts. The current drawn will depend on the load. Mine is easily driven by a 12V 13Amp computer power supply.

**Q: Can this be used as a 12 volt generator for a turbine? If so what would be the amp put out be?**
A: I don’t think that will work since this is a gear drive motor. This motor’s shaft is locked by the gears until the motor is energized. I think what you’re looking for is a standard DC motor with no gearbox.

**Q: These motors seem interesting but the torque isn't listed anywhere and I cannot find a Greartisan website.  Where is this information?**
A: I had the same question and ended up calculating the torque. It was a few months ago but I think it was around 2-3 newton meters

Worked great for my diy project. I used some rubber foam to reduce buzzing sound for super quiet operation in my project. Before had a 10rpm and it was ok, but I wanted a bit more speed and still good torque. So I got the120 rpm and a pwm motor speed controller.
