I bought this book to see how viable Dog Walking was/is as a Way To Earn Money. J.D. Antell is very enthusiastic, gets right to the point/s of his chapters, gives relevant examples of different way to run a dog walking business depending on where you live (city, countryside, suburb), setting rates and all the fun type of businessy stuff.Like any possible self owned and run business, you have to decide if it's for you. Meaning, you not only have to love dogs to do this, you gotta love walking. That's a no brainer, right? But it's true. If you don't love being outside, or walking, or aren't sure of how to control a dog who is out of control (or what to do if some one else's dog is out of control), you need to rethink. And perhaps get training in how to handle bad situations.But overall, what a great life it is! I've met several dog walkers at the local dog park I take my dog to, and they seem to do pretty well. Not all of them appear to pay attention to their dogs as much as they should, but the good ones do, and know how to build their pack.So yes, if you're considering going into Dog Walking as a business, read this. He's someone who's been there!

More often than not the links to examples of things produced no useful results. Other than that this is a very good informational book that is well written and full of useful information.

This isn’t a bad book, but the author pushes his DVD a lot throughout the text. Plus this is a very outdated text.

As I'm currently considering starting my own dog walking business I purchased many books on the subject. This one was my favorite! It has many great ideas and pieces of advice and is very well written and most importantly of all is very well organized. It is clear from the book that the author puts the dogs' happiness and safety first. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about what it would be like to start a dog walking company.

I bought 4 electronic books about dog walking & this one by J.D. Antell was by far and away the best of the lot! It covered everything for someonelooking to get into the dog walking/sitting business. I also liked the idea of the C D that can be ordered to supplement the text. Excellent guide thatcovers all the bases!!! Jim M

Easy to read. Lots of information provided in a concise manner. Great references. This book was written a few years back - but the references were still good. I truly appreciated the book.

This is a great book. He covers the basics and throws in lots of extras, related to marketing! I had a bit of a technical problem (that's me!), and he got right back with answers and fixed me up. I'm excited to give this a try, and Mr. Antell's information gave me the confidence to give it a shot. Thumbs up and thanks!

This book has some good tips for the person thinking about starting a dog walker/pet sitting business. Arrived promptly and in great condition.

As I recently have set up a dog walking business, I thought this book may be helpful for background information. However, from the first paragraph, it becomes clear it is an American book, and things and regulations there are different from the UK. However, I have found some useful information in it, but I think it would be better if it was written by someone from the UK.

Bought as a gift so not read it myself, my friend told me she found it very useful though and informative. Took away one star mainly for the size of it v cost.
