Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the individual Detergent tablet?

I have never measured it. Seems to be the same as what I used before.

is it compatible with LG dishwashing machine?

You’d need to check the manual, but probably. They worked in my old washer (which a just died) and my new Bosch washer.

Why are the individual pods wrapped in plastic?? This pollutes our oceans and exactly what I am trying to avoid.

Most environmentally friendly is making your own 1 Cup Washing Soda (cleaner) 1 Cup Baking Soda (cuts out grease) 3 packages unsweetened lemonade drink mix (added cleaning power, antibacterial and smells awesome) 1 Cup of Kosher Salt (reduces hard water build up – you might be able to reduce this amount if you have soft water) add water, mix thouroulgly, wait for bubbles to g down, spoon into ice cube trays, set to dry for 24 hrs, pop out individuals and you have home made dish washer pods. You can find all kids of solutions if you search online....
