The patterns out there range from plain solids in the worst array of colors to very busy and tacky prints. And usually the fabric is a cheap nylon sheer or thick heavy almost canvas like fabric. I have a very hard time curtain shopping and in my last apartment I ended up sewing my own kitchen curtains because I hated everything out there.Fast forward to my new house... I wanted something for my country kitchen with a small floral print and these are absolutely perfect. This tie-up variety hangs over my kitchen sink and I purchased three of the regular valances for the bay window also in the kitchen. The color is true to the picture. It's not a yellowed color as another described. I would say creamy off-white. The blue and green flowers make it a very cool tone...not yellow or warm at all. I think what I love the most is that the print is small enough to give the design a delicate country feel. For some reason a lot of the floral prints on curtains tend to be big and have the look of an old tacky couch.Also, the quality of these curtains is amazing. Usually you will find a lot of loose threads or sloppy machine stitching but these look like something you'd buy out of a nice curtain shop. For the price I was really amazed. I would buy more from this designer in a heart beat. I also bought the Carnation Primrose shower curtain hooks, and they are an EXACT match (made for each other!). Quality is great, washes well on cold/delicate, low dryer heat. ONLY problem and why I took off 1 Star, is that the picture shows the background to be more yellow (like their curtain yellow). Background is more of a beige. Roses are medium pink with burgundy shadow. Green is medium/sage green. The look is more towards Shabby Chic, which is what I wanted! Lightened up my dark bathroom!!
