Wow, what a great experience! Some ham-fisted idiot stripped out a bolt hole on my new-to-me bicycle. I had that terrible sinking feeling yesterday when the bolt got looser as I tightened it to the specified torque. Instead of buying a new $75 crank arm, I decided to try a BILTOOLS Helicoil repair. In four easy steps and just 30 mins, the fastener was in nice and tight and I was back on the road! The instructions were perfect and all of the included tools and parts worked perfectly. Who knew it could be so easy? My only advice to purchasers is that you will need a Tap Handle Tool in addition to what is provided. If you don't own one, they are inexpensive and readily available. Good quality product. Was easy to use. Solved our spark plug problem. All this at a fair price.

Does what you need it to do. Doesn't have to use the drill bit included. I used my own but a slightly larger size. 1/64 larger and it still did fine. Better priced than the autozone kit. Definitely recommend this over that. Comes in a nice metal box and parts don't fly around if you shake it up. I tried that. Pieces fit nicely in my hand and I can easily palm a basketball. Installing it is user friendly as well. Drill, tap, install and then break the tap at the bottom and you'll be cool.

Worked well for a stripped door hinge bolt on a Honda, seemed a similar (or better) experience to using the major brand thread-inserts. Included tools are decent and seem hardened, even.

It worked well for me although I did have to do it 2x. My skid plate bolt was jammed in by a overzealous mechanic with an impact wrench, stripping out the bolt and hole, so I followed the instructions and it seemed to go easy enough despite being upside down under a truck. The little tab wouldn't break of (either time) but there wasn't anything I could do about that. I put in a new bolt and it worked fine for the first 1/3 then was acting stripped again, so I thought maybe the coil screwed out the other end? I re tapped and the coil broke into a bunch of little pieces, so I started over and the second time, it held. My tap wrench is the worst so that made things difficult but other than that, it went better than I expected and the tools held up. If I have issues again, I can just do it all over again.

Absolute life saver! Had 4 stripped out valve cover holes and this little kit took care of it with ease! Not a single issue! A T handle for the threader would be awesome. Will absolutely buy more in any size needed again! 10/10

I'm pretty sure I used this on my old Kawasaki (2002) Concours, but it was awhile ago, and I'll be honest, I don't remember how well it worked out. Good I hope, and think it did. Sometimes if you aren't in a repair business, you might only use this type of ... tool ... whatever, once, but if you need it, instead of trying to purchase something that costs $$$$ so much money, it's well worth the dough. Sorry, not much of a review, but my guess it worked well enough so I didn't have any issues or I might have remembered that... . Crappy performance of purchased goods stick in my mind longer than stuff that just does what it was made for... .
