Great for privacy on my front door
This works great for privacy. You can't see through it at all and it still let's the light in really well. Installation was very easy. I liked that the film has a printed grid on the backing plastic so you can more easily cut it. According to the instructions I just needed to spray water, not any type of special solution or soap mix. So that's what I did and it worked fine. The film has a nice grainy texture to the touch. It's been a few day since installation and there's a few tiny bubbles that I don't think are gonna go away. They might be from little pieces of dust or debris. They're barely visible though unless you look closely, so I don't mind. This film sticks without the need for glue so you can easily pull it off if need be. It's too soon to tell but I don't think I'll have any problems with the corners and edges lifting because I installed it under the frame of the door's window, meaning I removed the frame, installed the film on the glass, and then put the frame back on top. You should do that too if that's possible.

Looks great
When they say use a good amount of water spray they mean it. It definitely makes applying much easier. I measured, cut, applied and was done in 10 min. It looks like a quality frosted window

Easy to use and will make your room cooler by blocking out the sunlight
Would be 5 starts but it gets expensive when trying to cover the windows due to out of control energy costs.I have normal to small windows and I had to use a roll and a half per window

Provides privacy
You definitely can't see through, does allow some light on during the day. Works perfect.

Not for arched windows lol
I have a small arched window that I tried to apply this to. It has 5 sections, 3 different sized glass. 76/10, I don't recommend this because if there is any curvature to the window, unless your husbands "honey-do list" is made to specifically piss him off, it's never going to come out right. I tried to do it on my own, it took me over an hour. I have two windows left. They stick great when you follow instructions. But, bless it. Maybe if I had the right tools, it'd be great but stick to buying this for square shaped windows only.... (Unless you hate your husband or he's a master of tasks). Photo for embarrassment. I gave up on the other two. I'll buy something else later.

Gets the job done
It's okay for the price. When it gets super hot and the sun shines on it, it starts to peel off.

Works well but installation was tedious with a 9 pane window!
I have an older 9 pane glass windowed door that I wanted to add some privacy to, so neighbors couldn't see in. It is impossible to find a contractor who is able to take smaller jobs, like replacing a door and I don't have the time to order a new door and chisel the hinges, etc. Until this red hot flipping market slows down and contractors become more available, I needed a temporary solution, so I decided to paint the door white and add this over the glass.I would not recommend doing a window with several panes, like mine as the measuring and fitting can get tedious! If you are doing a single window, it will be easier. My project that you see in the pictures took me about 1 hour from start to finish. The hardest part was working around the interesting details like the putty beads along the side holding the panes in place. This needs to stick to glass ... and glass only. If you have any obstructions, like window caulking, paint overlap, etc. the edges won't stick. All you need is a credit card (or some other flat, card-like surface ... a riler or tape measure ... a sharp box cutter type of knife, or exacto knife ... and a spray bottle)I will admit that this looks a little cheesier than I had hoped when finished. It just doesn't look classy to me. The film has lots of little pixels in it, which blur the view from inside and outside of the window. However, it casts a rather unappealing fluorescent white light into the room. I was hoping for a bit warmer and cozier feeling ... to me, this looks like the windows you'd see in a factory or creepy house. If I had it to do over again, I'd have got the one-way mirror films that act/install the same. That way, I could see out but nobody could see in.The biggest issue I had with this is that it is very hard to cut, even with a sharp exacto knife. That makes it hard to trim away pieces that don't fit. The directions state that you should leave excess on both sides of the part to be placed into the window and trim away what's not needed. I found this impossible to do. When I tried to trim away the excess, beyond what was needed, the rubbery film would pull away from the window and stretch causing it to cut wrong, or not at all. Eventually, I made a pattern of the area using thick cardstock, laid it onto the film and cut around the pattern before peeling the backing off the film. The best tip is ... use more water than you even think you need. Spray the CLEANED FIRST window down with water from a spray bottle, then mist the side of the pattern which will touch the glass, and spray the window again. Stick the film in place and use a credit card to 'scrape' across the film to remove excess water underneath and any air bubbles.Overall, this is an adequate patch for until I can get a new door installed. I consider myself handy but not a pro and it wasn't hard to do ... just a bit time consuming and at times frustrating. I don't love the way the 'frosted' film looks pixelated and white ... it's not as warm as I thought but you can't see through the windows now, night or day. If you are looking for a DIY way to make your windows look more private, this might work for you ... but be aware that it takes the aesthetic look of your room down a bit, in my opinion.

Easy to put up and holds strong
These were easy to install, just need a sharp blade.I cleaned the window with windex, sprayed regular tap water on, put the film on, and cut to size. It worked really well and although I had bubbles after installation they eventually dried up after a week and I went over the film again with a card to make sure it stuck again. So far no issues with it peeling off or anything.I was able to frost a neighbor facing window and gained back some privacy. It also just looks really good when light comes through it, just some big white soft box type lights. Love it!The time and cost is well worth it, cannot recommend it enough!
