Q: can this yogurt be used as a starter for the next batch?

The EasiYo System is designed to make it easy to make yogurt, using the EasiYo packets. We don't have a recommended method for using EasiYo Yogurt as a starter, as our packets contain all the ingredients to make fresh yogurt within them.

Q: Does this require electricity?

Hi Jenny, No, the Yogurt Maker doesn't require any electricity. You'll need boiling water but the maker is unpowered.

Q: Can you use a glass jar inside the black container, instead of the plastic one that comes with it?

We don't recommend using a glass jar in the EasiYo Yogurt maker as there is risk of the glass cracking due to the boiling water. EasiYo Jars are made from Food Grade plastics, are BPA free and are suitable to withstand boiling water.

Q: How much does each packet of yogurt make?

Each packet makes approximately a liter or 4 cups. A little expensive but in America most fruit mixed yogurt has a lot of sugar and a little fruit. With plain Greek I add a lot of fruit and not sugar - much healthier alternative. Making my own yogurt gives me more control over what enters my body. Please try it.
