I just received my new tape pouch today. Very happy to have it. I bought this one as a replacement for another Occidental Leather pouch. I was a bit disappointed the the other one was worn out after only 40 years of daily use! This one seems to be built just like the last one, so more than likely it will out live me! The new one fits a 25’ Fat Max just fine, and it will fit it with or without the belt clip on the tape measure. I prefer to use it without the clip, as that is what the pouch is for and for me it make the repeated process of taking the tape out and putting it back easier, smoother, and without snagging the clip on the pouch. The fit is snug as the pouch is new. After a week or two of use, and very likely a fair amount of sweat absorbed into it, it will be silky smooth from then on. After a couple of weeks I will put a bit of leather dressing on it to keep sweat and moisture from soaking into the leather and rotting the leather. Occidental makes a great product. It took 40 years to wear out the first one. Not many other things you can use 5 days a week for that long before it wears out. Definitely worth the price paid!

Awesome quality and durability!!! Easily clips onto belt/tool belt. You may need to break it in for a while, maybe even use some mink oil and stretch holster with tape measure in it for a week before actually using.

Looked like a softball when it came in probably because of storing, packaging and shipping... I double wrapped my Stanley Fat Max 25' tape in saran wrap, used warm water to wet the leather and stuffed the tape into the holster. I put a carpenter pencil behind the tape to make the opening a bit larger and stuck the whole thing in a windowsill to dry. A couple days late I attached it to my belt and never looked back...great product. Thanks to sawyer Nathan from Out of the Woods who discussed this on his You-tube channel.

Great product. It clips securely to a belt and securely holds a 25’ Stanley fat max tape. It is easy to retrieve the tape as well. I use this almost daily at work and could not go back to hanging my tape from my pocket. EDIT: I have now had this holster for some time and used it extensively. It does break in and now some 25’ tapes are loose in it. As with any leather product it broke in loosened up and that’s just the way she goes.

This tape holder is very well made and it looks like it will last a lifetime. But I couldn't fit a 25' tape or a 30' tape in the holder. My 16' fit very snug. One suggestion is to soak it in warm water for a while to make it more pliable. I'll try that tomorrow. Other than, I can't wait to use this daily!

Best leather out there. Very heavy duty. I see itblasting me my lifetime if nobody steals it from me. the clip is so tight that you can hang from it. Sometimes too hard to take off the belt but better than being loose.

Really nicely sized for my 25' Fat Boy tape. Tape fits in firmly and it has worn in nicely so the tape comes out fairly well also. This is a rugged and well made tape holder. I like that the tape is in a pouch. That is more secure and less likely to get knocked off when I am working up on scaffolding and ladders. Love the clip on fastener. Allows me to mix and match stuff as I need them for different types of jobs. The clip really stays in place. I have yet to knock it off of my belt. I would recommend this to everyone. In fact, I should get another one.

This is great - the clip is solid and secures to your belt. You might think it is tight for your tape but it is made tight on purpose - over time the tape measure you choose will stretch it out and it will be a perfect fit. (I have two Occidental tape holders, one on my tool belt and this one). I don't work in the rain so can't comment on that but this is a solid product.

Clipped right on to my adjust to fit belt system. Very tight, no issue with it pulling off when I take the tape out. I had to put a large dewalt tape measure in it to stretch the leather a bit. But once the leather moulded to the tape it was perfect!

Very very high quality. Be advised it only takes a very small tape.

Hold on nice and fit my dewalt 25'/8m tape nicely!
