Easily a favourite guide
I had the audiobook and listened to it over and over. There is some amazing advice for writers of crime (or actually, any genre). Loved it so much, I needed to have the hardcover copy for my shelf.

Worth Reading
I was not disappointed by this book, as I have been by many other “how to write” books. The information is generous, and concise. By visiting the subgenres specifically it has touched on many of the questions I’ve asked myself after reading a great, as well as a not so great, book. I’ve learned a lot from reading this one.

Entertaining Read!
I enjoyed reading the essays and learning more about the mystery writers I like. But, as a mystery writer (unpublished) myself, I expected more 'nuts and bolts' advice. Not much new in that department. Maybe it's all been said (or written). But for the true mystery reader and fan, you will enjoy these well-written peeks into the writing process of today's most popular mystery writers.
