The tri-tab twist to lock collar and floor base design have been improved to enhance the security of the fit. While the leg has an inner structural element that transfers the table load from the leg to the floor. Look for the Sequoia III Leg System from ITC / ITC Manufacturers’ Select to be assured you are getting the original patented design (patent filing number 6,820,847 B2). The 2” diameter Leg and the Table Base are anodized aluminum and the Floor Base is stainless steel – all tested for harsh environments and superior weather resistance. The Floor Base also comes complete with a Base Cap as an added convenience to fill the void in the Floor Base when the leg is removed. The Sequoia is a surface mount style leg system which can be installed in most RVs and Boats. Installation is easy with five included screws to secure the Floor Base and six screws you provide to secure the table base to your table top. We do not provide the screws for the Table Base so you can get the screw type and length best for your top – be sure to measure to ensure screws do not poke through your table top when tightening the table base to your table top. As always when installing new items in your RV or Boat be aware of what you are screwing or drilling into. If you do not secure into a sturdy solid surface your table leg will not perform as needed. Please see our Installation Video for details. Prepare for your installation by double checking the subfloor that you will be drilling into. Position the Floor Base where you would like it. Then mark the screw positions for the Floor Base with a pen. Remove the Floor Base and pre-drill screw holes on your marks. If you are replacing an old base it is best to route the floor base and drill new screw holes for added stability, instead of reusing the previous ones. Screw the Floor Base to the floor using the included screws or source screws that work for your subfloor. The surface and how you connect your Floor Base to it are very important in providing stability to the table. Mark and pre-drill your table top for the Table Base. Use the Table Base as a template and mark the location of the screws with a pen on the underside of your table top. Please note we do not supply screws for the Table Base because it is important to measure the depth of your specific table top to ensure you do not drill through the table top surface. Pre-drill pilot holes if needed. Screw the Table Base to your table top using your supplied screws. I guessed right on the length so the table sits just right. It was very sturdy and stable even with the single leg. I didn't want to spend that much but now I realize it was worth it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy Leg *by on Reviewed in the United States March 29, 2021* Our 2018 FC Airstream came with a folding leg under the table. Unfortunately, the folding leg is not very sturdy and the table moved and inch or more with the slightest bump when sliding in or out and it was not very stable for cutting vegetables. Found an online video that illustrated how to install this ITC Sequoia III table leg. I did remove about 1 inch from the length of the aluminum because the 27” was too short and the 29” a little too long. You will need to know the thickness of your table top and the floor and find screws the appropriate length. The included five screws might work, but you will still need five more. The installation was easy and the table now seems much more stable.
