**Q: can I soften Odies oil a little in the microwave to make it easier to apply? Mine is very thick**
A: You’d be better off setting in the sun and stirring it well. Use a white scotch brite pad and elbow grease. It takes a little work to apply but you’ll be very pleased with the finish in the end. You’ll also enjoy the aroma of a natural hard wax oil smell unlike other polys or lacquers. Best of luck. I love their finishes. The odies dark adds a nice effect on lighter woods.

I used this to finish a mahogany and purpleheart accented engagement ring box, and it absolutely met my expectations, even with the 'higher than you'd expect' price tag in mind. Follow their instructions (they have a LOT of videos on YouTube) and this stuff goes on easy, finishes evenly, and looks great! Smells good, doesn't seem to put off any fumes, and was able to do the job in less time and steps than with traditional finishes. I'll certainly be using this more in the future!

I redid an antique dresser. I loved the look of the wood and wanted to leave it as natural as possible. My brother highly recommend Odies oil. The cost seems expensive, bit a little goes a long way. I have plenty left for more projects to come. After I applied the oil I had the dresser under a tarp awning to dry. The tarp ripped a little and rain fell on the dresser. Odies was true when they said water resistant. The water was beaded on top and wiped right off. Bonus: it smells so good.
