I bought these crossbars for my ‘22 4Runner based on the reviews and price. I didn’t feel confident in the way they secured to the rails or my ability to easily move crossbar location down the road. I just installed Toyota OEM crossbars and they give me so much more security they will stay attached to the rails and that I can move them easily during the years. The OEM crossbars only cost $20 more if you just ask for a better price at the Toyota dealer accessory department. Any good crossbar system should require you to pop off the back rail cover to install them. If not you are taking a chance.

These cross bars are easy to install, look for a a YouTube video for removing the plastic roof rail end caps and the cross bars easily slide in the track. I do hear some minor wind noise though- it’s not very loud. Sone people might not even notice it. But I was hoping with the aero profile it would be quieter.I would recommend these cross bars to anyone as they look factory and are almost 2x stronger. The end caps for the cross bars are aluminum, not plastic like a lot of other cross bars.

Racks are sturdy. The instructions are poor. Need to include better pics of how to attach to roof. If you easily get frustrated with assembling this is not the product for you.
