I want to use for triathlons.** A: Roctane is GU's ultra Endurance line it has more electrolytes, salt amino acids, thing like that. So when your on the long haul you can replace all the things you lose when working. Regular GU has some of what Roctane has but not as much. The difference between a gel and the drink, is the drink is used for hydrating and the gel is used for fueling. This goes into your whole nutrition plan, how long do you need to fuel for, how much you will lose during any given event. These are the questions you'll need to ask yourself. One bit of advice I can give, make you really like the nutrition you choose, you will be more apt to use it. I use the grape flavor roctane. I krave it the longer I go. When I go hard, esp. early morning, I can't really eat breakfast (not a morning person), which has been the bane of my training. This stuff is amazing for helping that issue. Not super sweet, like Gatorade or Powerade, so you won't want to guzzle, but the taste is just fine. Easy to mix, and alternate sipping this with water. No cramps, no belly bomb, helps my power and endurance (I think); has enough calories to fill the hole for sprint triathlons in the morning when coupled with a Bonk Bar (also easy on tummy). On par price-wise with a lot of other supplements, so can't complain much there.
