Part of the New Balance Fresh Foam X collection, these running shoes feature Fresh Foam midsole cushioning that uses the latest advancements in data-to-design to deliver precise plushness underfoot, providing a butter-smooth, responsive ride to help you dominate every stride. These cushioned running shoes have a synthetic engineered mesh upper with embroidery to provide a lightweight, soft and secure fit that also provides strategic support from heel to forefoot for lasting comfort that helps you stay focused on your performance. Know Thy Foot
I've been a runner for a very long time, and I am partial to New Balance because they fit me the best. That being said, it has become very challenging to find something that lasts or is not made out of cheap material without spending at least $100. This particular pair happened to be on sale, came in my size, and came to $99 instead of costing more, but I could tell as soon as I opened the box that the insole was more substantial than a glorified paper towel. And they felt a lot better when I christened them with sweat the 1st time I wore them. I was not impressed with my former pair - the insole began to start slipping towards my heel once they were more than 2 months old, and ultimately gave me a nasty blister. It seems to depend a lot on whether one intends to use NB shoes for serious exercise, long periods of standing, or just looking fashionable while you only run errands.Over the years I have learned: New Balance do tend to run slightly small, so I order up from my regular shoe size to make plenty of toe room. And I ignore Amazon's recommendation that I get the same size I previously bought in a shoe from another brand that I would never run as often as I do. I study the bottom picture to see if they are more curved for my high arch, and have cushioning rather than support. I like to snug up the laces around my instep more to draw the big Ns on the sides in, and let them be a bit looser where I want it. It has become a marketing buzzword recently to use the word "cushioning" - it is in everything: socks, shoes, etc. It reminds me of the shoulder pad craze back in the 1980's. It gets to a point where it feels more like trying to run on a marshmallow. I also study the tongue situation - I had another pair that were slip-ons and I didn't like them, because I couldn't move the tongue much. And they turned out to be flimsy as well. I like less of a heel drop, so I don't get tipped forward so much. I have realized that I need to spend a bit more at first - I would end up just buying special bandages for blisters, getting new sneakers more often, or who knows what else. I am also not willing to sacrifice my feet, legs, or back for a few dollars.

When you’re on your feet a lot, perfect sneaker for comfort!
A very good all -day sneaker, very attractive, but most of all comfortable! Great for support as well !

Good-looking but not long lasting
I bought the tennis shoes in mid-May. I loved wearing them and how they looked. I walk a lot (a few miles a day), but by late August, they already had a small hole in one toe and the beginning of another on the other shoe. I keep my toenails trimmed down, so it wasn’t them cutting through. When I saw holes starting, I even ordered shoe toe reinforcers (a dense fabric you stick in the toe area of the shoe), but the holes continued to grow anyway. I wound up throwing the shoes away last month because one of holes was just too big. A Lot of money to pay for less than five months wear, so I wouldn’t recommend them to walk a lot or workout in.

Right on tine. These are great daily shoes. I will purchase another one but in a different color.
I like these because they are light weight but comfortable.

My NB faves have short tread life
This is, ummmm... my 8th (?) pair of NB in the last few years. I go for the "low drrop" and "low stack height" models. I love the way these and my beloved Vazee Pace (disc) have support but, still have ground feel (allowing for the proprioception that can keep runners from pounding the ground too hard instead of masking with cushion). These Tempos are the first NB pair that comes too tight in the toe box; I'd suggest ordering a half size up or a wide. A half size up PLUS D width was too much. Unfortunately, like my "great price point" NB, these have a very short tread life: 300 miles and they are worn, 400 and they're ground down. (I am a mid-foot striker, with slight supination). I love these Tempos, but I wish our relationship would last longer.

Soles and inner padding
The sole on this product does not have enough crushing / padding is too thin.

Not for me
Nothing good to say about these trainers after having excitedly waited for them to arrive. I bought them to replace my old adidas, and they look similar, but the quality of these trainers is infinitely lower than my old ones. Bought a size up as apparently all NB trainers come quite small. The first time I wore them I walked and then started running, results: a big blister that turned into a bloody wound and no cushioning at all. They are super stiff, not at all maleable and the "fresh foam" feature is inexistent. I would return them for a full refund if I could, but as I already used them outdoors there is nothing I can do anymore, unless telling other people not to buy them, at least not for exercising/running.

Nice trainers but too small so I returned them
They were advertised as 5.5, which is half a size bigger than I usually wear, however they are actually an EU 38 which is a UK 5 (and as others have said, you need to size up). That said, they look good and feel very light.

Not as expected
I’m not convinced theses are genuine. They arrived in a very tatty box and they are different colours on the sole than the others in different sellers...Very disappointed

Lovely runner, snug fit
Lovely runner, depending on the shoe I’m between 4 and 5. I order the 4.5 and they were a little bit small (probably because they are so padded and comfy) so I returned them. Would buy if they had 5.
