GREAT BARGAIN, GREAT PRODUCT
Amazing value, they work really well. I only just got them but for 20 of them that are the same or lower price of a 2 or 4 pack of mr. clean magic erasers you can’t go wrong. I haven’t tried all surfaces yet but definitely work on shoes and leather (which is mainly why I need them); to keep my shoes bright white and to wipe my car seat leather clean from use and jean stains, etc. Don’t know for sure if there is bleach in them so proceed with caution, I’ve only used them so far on white surfaces and they are fantastic and such a bargain. Seem as durable if not more than mr. clean 4x durability so you’re getting great quality at such a low cost. Yes they break apart with use like all of these sponges, but it seems these are more elegant in doing so than if you’re scrubbing with a mr. clean pad and you’ve got chunks flying everywhere. Materials are clearly different and you’ll notice the difference. If you’re like me and love the mr. clean erase sponges for everything, give these a shot. For the low initial investment you might be surprised and suddenly you’ve got a 6 month supply.Yes, they work great on white walls.

Solid quality melamine sponges
For the price, this is pretty hard to beat. People need to know what they are buying, since I see quite a few people expecting miracles from melamine sponges. For the actual product itself, it is very solid quality for the price. Much cheaper than the name brand, and performs almost as well, if not better, depending on the use case. I like slicing each block into quarters or smaller and just having them for quick wipedowns of any mess. Basically just as effective, and 90% as durable, for a fraction of the cost. The name that most people would associate with melamine sponges is the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Given that Mr Clean is a name brand for P&G, it holds brand recognition, and has quite a marketing budget, which limits how cheap they can sell them for. Melamine sponges are basically to be used as an abrasive cleaning tool, its like a regular kitchen sponge, but much stiffer, and much finer in the size of the pores, this basically makes it able to "clean" things by grabbing/scraping the surface. Water is highly recommended, as lube is needed to keep the melamine from grabbing too hard to the surface and ruining it. Always wet melamine sponges before you use them, else get ready for stripped paint or scuffed surfaces. Since this is basically a foam block, you should not treat it like a kitchen sponge, it will break, rip, and crumble if you use too much force, especially if you did not wet it.

Good news! Bad News!!
The good news is this is a melamine sponge, no different from the national brands, but thicker. It REALLY makes cleaning around the house easy and it DOES get dirt out faster and easier than using cleaners, for the most part.I even cleaned up my precious vintage 1992 Starbucks coffee mug, which had coffee stains since the start of time and I had given up on getting them out. But with some focused scrubbing in a short time, the stains vanished away.So for cleaning in general, this works quite well. The Bad News- you're going to need all 20! There is ZERO durability in this sponge. It crackles, snaps, pops and tears off like nobody's business if you dare to use it on anything other than a smooth surface. And if you do squeeze it to rinse it off under the tap, it might crumble off a piece or 2, so squeeze with care! If you try to use it with a powder cleaner like Comet/Ajax/whatever, it will also start to crumble. So use as carefully as possible when scrubbing away or rinsing off. I haven't tried the national brand's (Mr. Clean) super durable melamine sponge but they are so much more expensive I wanted to give this package of 20 a shot first.BOTTOM LINE- Good price, the sponge performs quite well ( I doubt the brand makes any difference for this basic model so buy cheap!), and be prepared to whittle through a grip of them when trying a cleaning chore out.The durability factor is not good, but go into this expecting it and you'll be happy with the way it cleans off dirt/stains better and faster than with a sponge and cleaning fluid... for the most part.

I LOVE THESE!!!
These Melemine eracers are SO MUCH BETTER than any other that I've tried, ESPECIALLY than a certain "Mr's." These have MUCH MORE MAGIC than those!!!!So much more durable! So much thicker! And so many more for a 10th of the price of "magic man's erasers!!"Often I end up cutting them in half and they still last so long!If I want a little extra clean I What them and rub them on a regular bar of white soap. Just a little bit and it cleans amazingly well!Great for cleaning Kicks/sneakers/tennis shoes! Especially the white sole. When I want a little more clean I will wet and rub on a bar of LAVA soap. Some people like to add dish soap but I find that it's too sudsy and I feel like I have to clean up AFTER cleaning up.Then there are times when I want to clean off electronic things like wires, the metal parts of plugs. I UNPLUG FIRST from ELECTRICITY then I use rubbing alcohol instead of water to get them wet and it works just as well and I don't have to worry about rusting anything and it dries really quickly!I don't use them for TV, computer, tablet or phone screens. I found that with alcohol it almost makes them too clean if that makes sense.
