This is delicious! I would give it ten stars if I could. I spread it on fish, chicken and beef. Also great on toast!

Galil makes excellent date syrup! A little goes a long way :-) Tastes delicious. I use date syrup in both sweet and savory dishes. The only challenge is in the packaging - by the shipper, not by Galil -->Galil's packaging is perfectly fine; the syrup jar needs to be well protected. I received a package soaked in syrup (and have been refunded); I am ordering again and hoping the syrup will survive the trip!

Mostly cane sugar. Do not buy it.

I made a semolina cake with almonds from a book about Food of Bible Times. The scouts Moses sent out brought back “honey” made from dates. St the time there were no bees in the promised land! The results were amazing. The date honey made the cake delicious and everyone raved over it! I first learned of date honey during a trip to Israel and have been buying it ever since. It can be quite expensive, but the Galil Silan date honey is very reasonably priced.

I used Silan a lot for cooking. This product is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. It is not burn on backing and give the food great flavors and color.

I love this syrup on my pancakes and I know it's good for me. Not too sweet either

I have been both buying and making solan for many years now. I liked this one as the flavor was nice with no after taste and by the third day of Passover it was gone which means we all loved it! I just wish the quantity wasn’t so little. Mind you it does take a lot of work and hours of cooking the dates to get such a syrup so in a way it is worth it.

Love this date honey. I use it in salad dressings, chicken marinades, and just as I would use regular honey.
