HEIYING 3DS Card Case with 24 Precise Slots for DS 2DS 3DS Game Card

The outer shell is very sturdy and has a good quality feel to it, the magnets that hold the case close are very strong but not so strong it’s difficult to open. There’s plenty of space for my games and sd cards, the games fit very snuggly in and don’t move around at all. This is great value for money. Can hold both ds and 3ds games which is great!

I have a similar case for my Switch games, and it’s such a nice charge from those terrible plastic cases you make the mistake of buying simply because they’re cheap. Here, the games fit snuggly and neatly within the silicon mould, and this makes them very easy to extract and return. It just feels like a richer experience than trying to awkwardly pull on plastic tabs to get your cartridges out. This experience comes at a cost, however. I really struggled justifying the purchase, as it seems like a lot for a case, but once it’s done, you will soon forget the price and instead appreciate the quality and convenience.

Ideal case for storing DS and 3DS cartridges.

Now I don’t need to damage my Nintendo 3-D SXL case now that I can take all my games in this

The HEIYING Game Card Case for Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL is a compact and lightweight storage solution designed to keep your physical game collection together in one place. It’s clearly aimed at convenience and portability rather than heavy-duty protection — and once you understand that, it makes a lot more sense. Design & Capacity The case is slim, easy to carry, and does exactly what it claims on paper: it holds multiple Nintendo 3DS game cartridges in a neat, organised layout. For someone building a physical game collection — especially when buying older games from places like CeX — it’s genuinely useful to have everything in one place instead of loose cases. Visually, the case looks fine and doesn’t feel cheaply made at first glance. The exterior has a bit of flexibility to it, which is noticeable if you grip both corners and gently twist it — there’s a slight bend. This isn’t necessarily a fault, but it does tell you straight away that this is not a rigid, shockproof case. Fit & Security This is where the biggest compromise is. When the case is open, the cartridges do not lock firmly in place. With even a small shake, the game cards can fall out. That sounds worrying at first, but in real use it depends on how you plan to use it. • If you’re storing the case flat, in a drawer, backpack, or shelf → it’s perfectly fine. • If you plan to open it while standing or shake it around → you’ll need to be careful, as the games aren’t tightly secured. The important thing is that when the case is closed, it holds everything together well enough for normal use. It’s not designed for rough travel or being thrown into a bag loose with other heavy items. Protection Level This case is more about organisation than protection. • ✔ Protects cartridges from dust, scratches, and being lost • ✖ Does NOT offer strong impact or drop protection If your goal is to keep your games tidy and easy to grab when switching cartridges, it does that job well. If you want something that clamps each cartridge tightly or survives heavy knocks, this isn’t that kind of case. Realistic Verdict After taking another proper look, the case turns out to be better than it first seemed, as long as expectations are realistic. It’s not faulty, just designed with a lighter grip on cartridges. Pros • Lightweight and portable • Holds multiple 3DS / 3DS XL cartridges • Keeps physical games organised • Affordable and simple Cons • Game cartridges can fall out when shaken • Slight flex in the case body • Not ideal for rough travel Final Thoughts The HEIYING Game Card Case for Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL is a good basic storage case, not a protective vault. For someone using only physical games and wanting a tidy way to store them — especially with a growing collection — it does the job well enough to keep. As long as you treat it as an organiser rather than armour, it’s a solid, perfectly usable choice.
