I wanted these to work so bad as appetizer plates but they showed up and half had black mold spots. I had to return them. They also had a weird odor.

These are not the cheapest disposable plates you can find but they're probably worth it. They are sturdy, fairly heat-resistant, and beautiful. How often do you hear that about a disposable plate?? This size is probably too small or shallow for a salad but can work with pretty much every other dish and a side. I put one in the microwave and melted some cheese on it so it's perfectly fine in the microwave too.These are great conversation-starters for events and they're just better for the environment. I would love if a fast casual restaurant started using these. That would be amazing.I've tried to compost a similar plate and it takes a while but it does work. The longevity indicates that you may actually be able to reuse them but with the porous nature of the surface, you're probably better off tossing it after a single use. As you can see, they look great stacked or in your hand. They're actually beautiful disposable plates!
