It is much easier to wind the clock with this clock key. It is pricier than other keys on the market but it is really good for people with arthritic hands or carpel tunnel. The knob itself is unfinished wood, I guess that is so you can stain it to match your clock. It would be nice if it came in a variety of wood finishes instead.

I bought this key to replace the door key we lost when we moved to Florida last year. I was concerned that this key might not fit the lock on our grandfather clock access door, but it fit just fine. Moreover, it looks just like the original key we had when we bought the clock some 30 years ago.

Nice craftsmanship and finish. Square slot that fits over clock shafts could be a little better machined or polished but winder fits and works well. Good value for the money. Will order another one if I lose this one.

This crank is great to wind our clock. My husband uses it - it is still a little small and hard to turn for my arthritic hands, but is a thousand times better than the original clock key. And it’s cute. The wood handle could have a better finish on it, but that is minor.

When moving furnishings for painting our hallway, the winder got lost for our grandfather clock. I was in a panic. I ordered this one, HOPING it would work! It DID! Perfectly! What a relief!!!

In our move we couldn't find this so we checked and found at Amazon. Before it came we found the jet but the replacement was so much prettier and sturdy that we kept it. Great value for this product.

We purchased an used Briton grandfather clock. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and has three tunes we can choose from. It don’t have a key to wind the weights. The key #8 worlds perfectly and it’s a nice looking key.

Didn't know I needed this kind of winder until I had it. Just wow! This is so much easier than the key design that I've been using on my grandfather clock. It fits great and super easy to wind.
