Very good gps for truckers
So no gps is perfect. However after using this for a solid week it performs great. Easy to see display and easy to program for addresses. I’ve used a Garmin dzl for about 6 years and decided, mainly for the financing available from Amazon-( 5 payments no interest) to get this. I don’t like a few things like the constant 5 mile an hour over speed limit warning, but overall it’s worth the money so far. Only 6 more years and I’ll put another review- if the world is still spinning After using this gps for about three months I returned to my old Garmin, for several reasons. First is the mount really doesn’t work well. I drive a bobtail for work and the many potholes and frost heaves in my area (northeast) has it on the floor at least twice a day, and I drive slowly. Second is the gps itself doesn’t even have all the roads in my area. At least twice a week it will come up with no address found, choose another destination. I’m like, what? I’m not going to joe blow’s house for fun! It’s too expensive for anyone to pick this over a Garmin. Just my two cents

Se lo recomiendo a los camioneros muy bueno
I’ve been using the Rand McNally TND 750 for a while now, and it’s made driving a lot easier. The truck-specific routing is very accurate and helps avoid tight or restricted roads. The screen is clear and easy to read, even in sunlight. I also like how simple it is to update maps. It’s not perfect, but overall it’s a solid and dependable GPS for truck drivers.

Should have gotten a garmin
Im an over the road trucker. There’s two major reasons why this GPS falls short for me First, it loses GPS signal. Often. And what good is a GPS that doesnt give your global positioning properly? Clear skies in populated areas and it loses signal. Absolutely infuriating. And this is on american roads, highways, and interstates mind you. When it loses signal, first, your speed reads zero, the icon of the truck on the map goes grey, and then it kicks itself out to the main menu (for some reason). Instead of just reconnecting and continuing the trip, you have to go back into the GPS/navigating mode. Then it asks you if youd like to resume the same trip that it dropped the signal on in the middle of. Then it connects, and youre back off to the races. So, if this sounds safe or like a well thought out convenient design to you, id be interested in hearing your explanations why. Secondly, the battery/charging is not sufficient. Say i start my day with a full battery, and leave it plugged in all day as im using it (as any other trucker would do). Well, within 3 or 4 hours, it has lost HALF its charge, despite being plugged in (and “charging”) the ENTIRE time. This is BS. Why does this happen? I will actually turn it off when im on long 100+ mile stretches of road to give it a chance to “charge back up”. Its so annoying. Ive thought about chucking it out the window because of this, but then id have to use my back up atlas (also rand mcnally, but thankfully the atlas does not take batteries or need to be plugged in to work. They should probably stick to making map books) Why does the through charging seem completely non existent on this GPS? Why does the battery deplete at all while its plugged in? It makes no sense. All i can think is how great the garmin i used to have worked. And didnt have either of these issues.

Updated review
I'm a local driver and I switch between tractor trailer and straight truck often. Having to go into the vehicle profile and changing it every time I switch vehicles is annoying. I wish you could add multiple vehicle profiles and just select the one that fits what you're driving like the Garmin does. There are SOME features this has that I like that Garmin doesn't. There are some features that Garmin does, but the TND does not have that I WISH it had. But a few things that really REALLY annoy me... 1) losing satellite reception regularly. 2) driving on an interstate and next thing you know, the GPS has me driving on some side street (which I'm NOT) which then displays the directions for a route that I'm NOT on. 3) when adding a via point to your destination, the ETA for arrival is for the via point, not your final destination. 4) did I mention LOSING SATELLITE RECEPTION? 5) can't connect to your phone unless you purchase a separate device, no traffic alerts unless you purchase a separate device, no weather alerts (maybe with a separate device???) 6) the bread crumb trail is too friggin wide on the screen, should you choose to record any trails for recording a visual aid for your next trip, or finding your way out of certain places. 7) did I mention that you have to purchase a separate device to use features that Garmin gives you in a FREE app??? (traffic and weather) I have had 4 commercial vehicle GPS units to date, and so far, this one is my LEAST favorite, mainly because of the constant lost GPS signal, and NO, I'm not in a city surrounded by skyscrapers when it happens. I should have returned this piece of junk within the first week of using it.

A good Truck GPS
It’s a good size, not too big, but not too small. It comes with a rubber strap around it so it takes less impact damage from the truck bouncing around. The routes I get aren’t always the best option, but that’s why I also have the Garmin Dezl next to it in my truck. While they both work great, there’s no reason to rely on one only, when both have areas that they are lacking. So far I find the truck routes it gives me are quite accurate. *Edit 1* Working out quite nicely. I am working on a dedicated account and delivering to stores. When I put in the store address I can pick the specific store and save it to my bookmarks list which then allows me to search for the store number when I need to go back to the same store. The only thing I wish it would do would be to allow me to select the truck entrance to the location I’m heading to, I also wish it would update my route for traffic conditions, but my Garmin GPS does both of those things.
