Kayak gunnel protection
Good fit for Hobie PA 12’, Use of heat gun helps. Follow included instructions.

Overpriced piece of Kydex plastic
First the fit is very loose ( picture taken before trying to reform the guard on Hobie PA12). There is no way there is that much variance in Hobie PA12 hulls/molds but that is BerleyPro's excuse. It would be easier to work it if it was to tight a fit in my opinion. Took me an hour with a high end heat gun to try and improve the fit. Tape can not close the gaps alone. Instructions are extremely over simplified and no suggestion for type of adhesive to use. The general statement "use a marine adhesive" is extremely vague as some of these adhesives are not compatible with ABS or Polyethylene. This looked like an easy quick installation, it is not. With out making a jig to provide the appropriate amount of clamping force you will end up with large gaps between the hull and the guard. $54 plus tax is a complete rip off. Obviously very unsatisfied. Probably could have done better myself with an oven and and a piece of Kydex but I thought I would save some time. I didnt. I hate leaving a negative review but wanted others to know the truth and save them some money and frustration.

Solo para instalar tuve que usar una secadora para acomodar un poco la forma de mi kayak hobie pro angler 12 Lo dejé secando sostenido con cinta por 3 días Eso si lo protegerá cuando llegue al embarcadero después de andar pescando así que si lo arrastro estará más protegido

Not even close on fit 👎
Very disappointed with product. Overpriced! Maybe worth spending if it fit perfectly. Not even close on fit. The suggestion of using a heat gun to make it fit is frightening. Having any level of heat like the heat gun next to or on an investment like a Hobie PA, amazing that could be suggested. The piece even has printed on it the very model it is intended to be used for. No chance that the wrong one sent. 👎👎👎👎👎

Could be a better fit from the start
I thought the guard could have been closer fit even with trying to heat and bend.a little frustrating for the money.hopefully it stays on ?

Fits nicely
The guard firs nicely with some marine grade adhesive.

Fail and poor fit.
Followed direction and major fail. The plastic piece does not fit well and leaves large gaps when I set the boat on ground after 24 hours cure time for adhesive. Very expensive, is not molded well and ugly.
