This is a great-sized bottle and option. It holds only a few liquid ounces less than a 32 oz bottle, but the vertical nature of it makes it much less bulky than your typical quart-sized bottle. It fits into a car cup holder and will slide nicely into the side pocket of a backpack or be easily accessible if put inside a backpack since it stands kind of tall upright. The metal clip on the lid moves a bit and makes a little noise, but that is not a dealbreaker for me. Keep in mind this is NOT an insulated or double-walled bottle. If you need that and want a bottle that will keep drinks hot or cold and not sweat, get something else, but the tradeoff there is more bulk and more weight. This is what I need as a lighter option for hiking and travel that keeps my drinks out of contact with plastic. Even the inside of the lid on this bottle is stainless steel where it is in contact with the contents. The only thing more inert that stainless steel is to store your water/drinks in glass, but glass is relatively heavy and fragile for taking out and about. This is a perfect balance for me.

I've been in search for a simple single-wall wide mouth bottle for a while now, and this is perfect! At 27oz and only having 1 metal wall, it's incredibly lightweight and small while still holding plenty of water. I use a hydro flask wide mouth lid with this, and it's the perfect fit. Compared to dual walled bottles, this won't keep your drinks cold (or hot) for nearly as long, but I drink lukewarm water and it works perfectly for that.

This is a good water bottle. Read the description and you know what you are getting. No this does not keep drinks cold or warm it is not insulated says so plainly in the description. I am one of the returns in the statistics - I bought it for someone as a present and they do not like that it is coated but that was my mistake in buying.Be aware if you are looking at Klean Kanteen because of their reputation as "Made in America" this line is NOT. These bottles are MADE IN CHINA. Just FYI as the description doesn't claim one way or the other.

Dropped on day one and the bottom dented. I wouldn’t care, but whatever the black finish is also chipped off and could pretty much peel off now.

Get dented up from drops, but keep chugging along. Works as expected

LOVE THIS! I wanted a simple, lightweight bottle with an easy to clean top. My other bottles with spouts and straws are hard to clean and often stink. This one is perfect.

Low quality steel, 1) very thin and will not be durable and 2) lack of quality control of recycled steel.The underlying steel is very thin and encased in light plastic. This KK bottle weighs much less than my older KK all stainless steel bottle that has the same capacity.Klean Kanteen uses a third party to source steel and manufacture their bottles in China, using recycled stainless steel. KK will not disclose how or IF they test or validate the quality of their recycled steel from their China based partners.KK prides themselves on using recycled steel, but low quality recycled steel, could be contaminated with materials that are not food safe.You are better off getting bottles made of virgin steel if seller does not disclose how or IF they assess quality of their recycled steel. I usually support environmentally friendly post consumer recycled product, IF there are good quality controls. KK's unwillingness to disclose tells me they do not have quality control.

The bottle is VERY sturdy, does not leak, but it is almost impossible to keep it clean. Using it with only water it will still become discolored and whatever it is that "grows" to discolor it will NOT come out even with bleach. I would NOT buy it again.
