Amazing, worth the price for the safety. I have birds and I can’t light candles. Wax melts aren’t ideal either for many reasons, but on a rare occasion I’d like to be able to use them since I can’t use aerosol sprays, essential oils, or most chemicals.Wax melters dont always come with a lid, and when they do, they can stay hot for a LONG time after they’ve been turned off. So even if I turn off the melter and then let my birds out, it can take SO long for it to cool down before I can let them out. Plus I risk burning myself constantly touching it to see if it’s not hot anymore. If it burns me to touch it, it would burn them if they flew around and landed on it.This wax warmer doesn’t get too hot, and even after going for an hour I can still touch it and not get burned!The lid is also relatively heavy so it won’t get knocked off very easily whatsoever.I never let my birds out when it’s on no matter how safe it is, but I love that I don’t have to wait hours after using it to let them out.Plus, I’m a klutz and I’ve burned myself on them so many times. So this is great.I just wish it came in black!!!! Would re buy in a heartbeat if it did.

I almost gave up on these as I just couldn't find one I really liked...along with the vapor type, too. But this little thing is a workhorse. I bought two, and buying two more. Softened wax comes out easily when you swap out. The timer works great...the temperature gauge is nice. It's handsome and well...I just really like this one. It's a one per room thing, but I'm good with that. It's just right. Not one complaint.

Initially I thought this would be another wax melter that takes an hour before you start to smell anything from it, needing one with a lid because I have cats, but....WOW. The power of this little device is amazing. If I put 1 wax cube in I can smell it from down the hallway from my bedroom, if I put in 2 I can smell it from across my home.It's excellent for hiding stale odors, pet funk, or the stink of the laundry bin or just to get your aromatherapy buzz going. Also the pattern of it is cute and unobtrusive and the timer is great for the longevity of a wax, controlling how long you want to enjoy a scent, and even as a cute night-light for older children and adults alike!If I had to offer 1 critique, the small metal tin for the wax is a bit difficult to clean once the wax sets in there, but warming it initially can combat this easily enough. 9/10!

This is not only attractive, but has a cover and a timer! My cat accidentally placed her tail into the melted wax (she was fine, she didn't even know it happened) so I searched for a wax melter with a cover and a timer. This was the only one I found, and I absolutely love it! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it doesn't automatically go back on. I set it for 5 hours, then I have to turn it back on the next day. The upside is that you can replace the wire and connect it to a timer you can plug in.

We bought this product last year and loved it, so we decided to buy another one. Unfortunately they changed the shape of the metal bowl between those purchases, and the metal lip of the bowl holding the wax now gets caught on the ceramic lid (note: this bowl shape does not match their pictures). This causes the wax to stick to the lid and BURN; I noticed the smell and caught the device SMOKING. It is not usable with the current bowl, which is really a shame. We wish the company would send us a replacement bowl, but there was no option to request it through Amazon.
