Cabt give you an exact diameter but I know it's worked great on 15-20 inch logs. That's the max I've used it with

Or the type of logs you want to handle, you'd better go with a 54 to 60" peavey/cant hook. The 47" timberjack would probably do the job but you'd have to put in a lot of back breaking efforts considering a 12 to 15 feet long 20"+ log weigh between 1200 and 1600 pounds. In my experience the 47 timberjack handle is great for rolling and lifting smaller and shorter logs. My two cents
