Relaxes and refreshes!
First impression - when getting the eye massager out of the box it looked and felt well made if not a little space age, but I was keen to give it a try. After a quick read of the instructions I plugged it in to charge using the lead (no plug adaptor provided). I left it for a couple of hours whilst I popped out and it was ready to use upon my return. After holding the on button for a few seconds it came to life and you receive audible directions to which setting you are on. I placed over my eyes and settled on the Automatic setting. What can I say is, it is different to any other heated eye mask I have tried in the past, tranquil music starts playing and then the eye mask inflates, heats, massages and vibrates all of which I can say were very comfortable and a nice experience. After 15 mins the program comes to an end (you are also advised by the audible voice) and it switches off. I felt relaxed and my eyes did feel refreshed and I was ready for sleep. The downsides - it is a little noisy as it inflates/deflates and massages however, after a few minutes I stopped noticing this, so I didn’t particularly find it irritating. I have given the eye massager 5* as overall I really like it and as I have said previously I found it relaxing once I got used to the sounds and sensations, however, I appreciate this may not be for everyone. I also suffer with dry eyes, which is one of the reasons I looked at this mask in the first place so I am interested to see if this helps in the long run.

Helpful for dry eyes; design issues.
I bought this product to relieve symptoms of evaporative dry eye, caused by extensive computer work over lockdowns. PROS: - I've been using it twice a day (for two weeks) and it is soothing on the eyes. The idea is that the combination of heat & acupressure will unclog my meibomian glands. I cannot vouch for this yet as I have not been back to my optometrist, although it is is very relaxing, has two different strengths and does provide temporary relief. Time will tell as to what extent this helps, although I do not think it is a silver bullet and that it therefore should be used as part of a wider routine if you are looking to alleviate dry eye syndrome/MGD. - Fits well and is comfortable during the acupressure treatment. It feels a bit bulky when using the heat only setting, so I just use a warm compress if I want to do that. - Heats up fairly quickly (about two minutes). CONS: - As others have highlighted, the buttons are very poorly designed. Only after two weeks have I become adept at, most of the time, controlling the volume and pressure strength with the massager on. I believe that you can get a remote with this, but it doesn't seem to be on offer on Amazon UK currently. - The instruction manual advises against turning on the massager before putting it on because of potential air pocket issues. However it is clearly impossible to control bluetooth media (say, on your phone) with the mask on. There would be an easy way to resolve this: to be able to turn the massager on without it automatically going into massage mode. Having said all this, I tend to wire up my phone with headphones, wack some music on, and then put the massager on. So I am totally fine not bothering with the contradictory nature of setting up bluetooth. - Battery life is about an hour if you use an acupressure setting. Be organise with charges so you do not find yourself at a loss. OVERALL: Good heat/acupressure, probably helps dry eyes, but interface designer should be out of a job.

Well-designed eye massager that genuinely helps with screen fatigue
I purchased this RENPHO eye massager due to frequent eye strain from long hours working at a computer. I’ve now used it regularly for several weeks, mainly in the evenings, and it has become part of my wind-down routine. The combination of gentle pressure and heat is very effective without being uncomfortable. It feels more like a relaxing massage than a medical device, which I appreciate. Sessions are short enough to fit into a busy day, and I find it particularly useful before bed as it helps me switch off and relax. Build quality feels solid, the controls are straightforward, and the adjustable strap makes it comfortable to wear. The Bluetooth music feature is optional but a nice addition if you enjoy background sound while relaxing. One thing worth noting is that it does make a small amount of noise while operating, which may be noticeable in a very quiet room, and it’s not the most compact item if you plan to travel with it. Neither of these were deal-breakers for me. I was happy enough with the performance that I later purchased a second one as a gift for someone else, who has also been very pleased with it. Pros: • Soothing heat and gentle massage • Comfortable and easy to use • Helps relieve eye strain after screen use • Feels well made Cons: • Light operating noise • Slightly bulky for travel Overall, a thoughtfully designed product that delivers real relaxation benefits. I’d recommend it to anyone who experiences tired or strained eyes.

Totally relaxing.
Absolutely love my eye massager. I put it on when I get into bed and it totally relaxes me, I literally go straight to sleep after the 15 minute program. Highly recommend it.

Not for me personally but I can see why it works for others
I bought this to help with my migraines which unfortunately at this time of year are quite frequent. The mask comes nicely presented in a nice box and appears well made. I chose to buy an ‘opened box as new’ item because I appreciated the reduced price. It arrived quickly as always from Amazon and I unfortunately got the chance to test it on my migraine the next day. The mask sits quite securely on your face with the head strap and was comfortable for me despite my quite small head and features (if it wasn’t for my wrinkles I could pass as an early teenager!). The pressure is nice, it varies and massages around your eyes, for me though I would like a little more pressure to really help with my head pain. I hoped it would massage my sinus areas under my eyes more but the pressure mostly concentrates above your eyes. It runs for 15 minutes and then auto stops which I feel is great to relax tired eyes but I would want longer during a migraine. It was easy to use though and wouldn’t be a hardship to just press the button again. The heat this device produces is nice, very nice for eye strain I feel but again, not quite on the mark to help me personally with my migraine - I tend to reach for cold therapy and I couldn’t see a way to switch the heat element off. The device is quite noisy, the pump for the air pressure is just next to your left ear and you can hear it inflate. I got used to it quite quickly however and it’s not a bad level or tone that made my headache any worse. I did also use this without a migraine, just as something to relax with and for that it was great. Pressure and warmth were good and I did find myself relaxing and quite enjoyable. So for me, it’s a no for migraines, yes for relaxing and eye strain. I didn’t keep the product as I wanted it to help with my migraine and I can’t justify the cost for it not to help with that. If I worked on a computer or drove all day I can say I would spend the money to help me relax and recover.

Game changer for people with chronic illnesses!
If you’re someone with chronic illness or fatigue, this is a helpful game changer! or migraines! I have M.E/chronic fatigue and it is debilitating to the point that I can’t sleep because I am so fatigued it is painful, i’m laying in bed wired, in pain, irritable and unable to sleep. I put this little baby on every night before I want to sleep and it relaxes me enough to be able to fall asleep and that is incredible for me. The heat on the eyes is amazing, the pressure perfect and buildable and my brain even associates the little tune it plays with sleep now! It really is so soothing and helpful for people like me and so rare to find something that helps and I am truly grateful. The only downsides are that the controls on the side are hard to get used to as there’s 3 buttons and multiple options or motions for each, it’s hard to remember what each of them do easily especially when tired! (definitely would pay a little extra for the remote but i’m equally not that bothered.) Another downside is the charge goes down quite quickly with consistent use, I use mine every night for half an hour or more and it lasts three days or so when new and as the battery deteriorates, that goes down to 2 days and then 1 and my last machine stopped holding charge. But I don't know if this is the case for all or if faulty, customer service refunded me and were helpful via email. Also a little noisy but I like the noise. I really and truly recommend this for people struggling with chronic pain or illness and are looking for something that helps ease the symptoms related to that or just want a fun way to relax or ease headaches.
