But the stock battery has nearly 500 cycles and only 75% battery health. The battery life is something like 2 hours max, far cry from the 10+ hours I used to get (and way worse than the 20+ I get on my current MacBook Air M2). This went in perfectly. I stripped the screw the goes to the motherboard from the trackpad, so I had to leave the trackpad connected, but was still able to finesse the old battery out and new one in (be VERY careful if you do this!). Put on new tack strips and set new one down easy. Everything lines up perfectly. Only thing I wish this kit included was extra sticky strips for the speakers. I had some 3M tape laying around that I used instead (sorry next person who opens this!). Booted right back up after putting it all back together. Even had 70% charge on it. CoconutBattery says it was manufactured in 2018 (older than my MacBook Air is). It's likely a re-programmed Apple BMU, so can't really trust that. CoconutBattery seems to believe that it's new and holds the proper charge. Apple reports it as a stock battery, but this generation of Macbook Air's don't need to "pair" to third-party batteries. All in all, a great deal for the money I paid. Worth the small investment and time to keep this laptop going for another year or 2 as a backup. If this fails early, I'll update this review.
