I’d rate this negative stars if I could *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2019* This book is unbelievable. I never thought it was possible to say so much yet say nothing at all. I think nursing would be a lot further as a profession if people didn’t “research” things like nursing theory. Wow, it all started with a lantern, washing your hands, not sneezing or farting on patients and opening a window for fresh air. Thanks Nightingale for starting all this.... if you could see it now.In the few chapters I was forced to read, because I have to in order to pass this joke class, I have come to these conclusions:1. Nursing theory is common sense for those that either don’t have it or are too self involved to notice anyone else.2. I’m all for abstractivity but this is worse than Kandinsky‘s paintings.3. I have never read so much only to learn nothing.4. This book should come with tacks so you can press your finger into them to stay awake while you read the book.5. If you like just reading for the sake of reading words on a page that have no meaning when combined together this is the book for you!6. If you suffer from insomnia this will work faster and has a better side effect profile than any of the “Z” drugs for sleep. Note: there is some cognitive impairment associated with reading this book because your brain will literally start killing off brain cells.7. The book makes a nice spacer when your reading bigger textbooks and and you want to make the whole book level while it’s open.8. Rent this book, don’t buy it.... even with renting it I feel ripped off.9. If you’re feeling down on yourself, read this and think how much worse your life would be if your name was on the cover.10.
