Advanced 16-4-8 Lawn Fertilizer - Liquid Lawn Food Spring & Summer Concentrated Spray - Any Grass Type- Fish and Seaweed Kelp- Balanced NPK - Simple Lawn Solutions (1 Quart)

I discovered this company first when reading about their liquid aeration product (worked well), then tried the humic acid (also worked well), and now have used the 16-4-8. Like many people who posted negative reviews on the 16-4-8, I had some initial difficulty with the included hose-end sprayer. It did siphon product, but the hose end leaked fresh water badly, soaking me in the process. When refilling the quart sprayer from a gallon container I also purchased, I noticed there was no o-ring in the hose sprayer. I had a new one on hand, installed it, and the sprayer then worked flawlessly without leaking a drop. I have a big lawn and probably applied 25% more product than recommended by choice, but the sprayer worked well once the o-ring was in place and all three refills sprayed consistently until empty. One day after mowing, I applied 16-4-8 in the late afternoon; overnight there was a light but steady rain. 24 hours after application, the grass seemed a little greener, but what was more noticeable was how much springier and healthy the grass plants looked and felt underfoot. 48 hours after application and an additional watering, the lawn looked even better. Not necessarily that dark, golf-course green you get from super high-nitrogen Scotts granules, but fuller looking and more consistent throughout. I live in a wooded rural area and am not going for the idealized, real-estate brochure lawn, but this product makes my "ordinary" grass look the best it has in years. The price is reasonable too if you buy the gallon size. You can also use the sprayer for this company's other products--the humic acid doesn't come with a sprayer, but the 16-4-8 top screws right onto the humic acid quart. I live in northern Michigan and have mostly tall fescue. Will be eager to see if this product helps me get through dry July without too much yellowing--will update here if needed. But as of right now, this will be the fertilizer I use from now on.30-day update: after almost three weeks of hot dry weather, which came early this year, the 16-4-8 has continued to impress me. I have tried a new watering approach during periods of no rain this year, only watering once every three or four days (a bit more extensively, though) instead of almost every day. Between this new regimen and this product, my grass continues to look better than it ever has. I would've thought using a liquid product would give quicker results but fade more quickly than dry granules, but in fact the opposite has been the case. When we finally got some soaking rain a few days ago, the grass really perked up again, moreso than in previous years of similar dry spells. When nights start getting cooler in a month or so, planning to apply humic acid again, then another dose of 16-4-8 maybe a week later. Also continue to be impressed with the loosening effects of the liquid aerator product, which have held up nicely over about 8 weeks. Great company.

Bought this as a more affordable option to the granules since I have a large 1/2 acre lawn. I was a bit hesitant to use it since it's a concentrate and was afraid it would burn my grass, but so far, my Bermuda loves it. I have applied it every 3 weeks this spring since end of March and my lawn is super green and thick. Recommend for Bermuda grass. Oh, and mixing instructions are easy to follow.Spring of 2024.

I did some research on the best fertilizer to use on my zoysia. Talked to the company that resodded my backyard with the zoysia three years ago, a local nursery that specializes in the numerous types of sod we use here in south central Texas, and a couple of on-line Internet zoysia growers/sellers. The consensus was zoysia responds better to a liquid fertilizer than a dry granular fertilizers since zoysia supposedly gets more nutrients through its leaves than its roots. Simple Lawn Solutions came the closest to the recommended ratios so I bought my first gallon a few weeks ago. I applied it with my hose end sprayer two weeks ago and wow just wow! Nothing has greened up my zoysia like this liquid. Already have another gallon set back for later. I also used on my front yard which is bermuda but too early to tell how it is working with that grass type.

Light on fertilizer ingredients but probably is exactly as designed. Perhaps this is good for a freshly laid hydroseeded lawn where you don’t want to burn it out. Good product. Pay attention to details on it. Not the best for established lawn

The media could not be loaded. I really needed something to help my saint Augustine grass, so I researched Texas grass fertilizer. This and some other things came up. I really had my doubts about this product considering that they all usually say the same thing but doesn’t work like they say. However, following the instructions on the bottle. I cut the grass to the specified height and waited 24 hours before applying the solution. The next day, 24 hours later I applied the solution. Two days later, I really, really noticed a difference in my grass. It was softer and looked healthier. After a week. it looked so much better. I cannot apply it again for a month, but I can’t wait, to spray my yard again. But I will wait and I’m excited to see what it will do like after the second application. Yet, so far. I’m sold on this solution. The application was easy, and fast. I sprayed my whole yard in no time and didn’t have to use a lot. I know that for me. It was worth the price, which was not bad at all. ThanksPS: this is approximately 2 weeks after first use. I will apply again the 12th of June. It can be used once a month times 3 for the whole year.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Sprayed this on my lawn with good results. Grass was greener and growing fast. Nicer lawn but must mow more now.
