In the tradition of Universal’s famed collection of monsters comes She-Wolf of London. Now the complete series featuring all 20 episodes is available for the first time on DVD. Beautiful American grad student Randi Wallace (Kate Hodge, “Fringe”) never suspected that traveling to England to study with handsome mythology professor Ian Matheson (Neil Dickson, Beowulf) would change her life forever. While conducting research on the misty and mysterious English moors, Randi is attacked and bitten by a werewolf. Now cursed to transform into a bloodthirsty werewolf during every full moon, the two must find a way to save her. Follow their adventures from London to L.A. as they search for a cure, battle supernatural forces and the romantic feelings they have for one another.

Repetition Gets Old
Good plots, but having a nagging Englishman with an overconfident American woman was cute at first. Werewolf transformations were cool.

This Beauty IS a Beast!!!
Whatever you do, don't miss the very fun and engaging TV series "SHE-WOLF OF LONDON" (Episodes 1-14) and "LOVE & CURSES" (Episodes 15-20)! This unforgettable horror/drama/comedy/romance series aired as part of the short-lived (and poorly distributed) Hollywood Premiere Network (1990-91) of syndicated shows. The Hollywood Premiere Network consisted of only three shows: "SHE-WOLF OF LONDON", "SHADES OF L.A." and "THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE". "SHE-WOLF OF LONDON" was finally seen across the entire country when it aired on The SCI-FI Channel in the mid-90's as part of their "Sci-Fi Fridays" prime-time line-up. The beautiful Kate Hodge ("Rapid Fire", "The Hidden II", "Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III") stars as Randi Wallace, a young American graduate student living in England who is cursed to become a werewolf every full moon. Neil Dickson ("Biggles: Adventures in Time", the evil Rickman on Season 3 of "SLIDERS") stars as Ian Matheson, professor of mythology, and Randi's would-be love-interest. Together, the duo search for a cure for Randi's curse and also investigate other supernatural occurences. With Episode #15, the series title and format changed to "LOVE & CURSES" and production moved to Los Angeles. Ian quits academia and gets a job as the host of "How Strange", a Los Angeles-area TV show which focused on the supernatural, and Randi becomes his producer. The following is a list of episode titles with original airdates:"SHE-WOLF OF LONDON": 1. "She-Wolf of London" (pilot) (10/09/90 2. "The Bog Man of Letchmoor Heath" (10/16/90) 3. I love this series
This is a wonderful series. Well okay, season one is wonderful, season two much less so. But even so, season one makes this DVD well worth the price. There are many examples of pre-Buffy late 80s early 90s horror television, all of which have been overshadowed by the Buffy juggernaut. Buffy came along and made all those other shows seem inept by comparison, including this one. Yes this show is more than a little flawed, its mix of horror and comedy and drama not anywhere near as seamless as the Buffy series. But keep in mind Buffy wouldn't have happened if shows like this hadn't set the stage. Before the late 80s, there hadn't been a successful example of horror television in over ten years. In a lot of ways She-Wolf was the Beta version of Buffy; horror comedy with a bit of soap opera drama thrown in for good measure. I especially like Kate Hodge's performance as the title character. She was just brilliant as the grad student from America who got more than she bargained for when researching English folklore. Neil Dickson as her mentor and love interest wasn't so hot of an actor, and the chemistry between them was a bit forced. But Kate's performance more than makes up for this. I also really like the script writing. they got really inventive and clever. I particularly like 'The Wild Hunt' episode. Season two was a complete waste, they had all given up by then and were just milking the paycheck. But as I said, season one is well worth checking out if you are a fan of horror television.

Never thought it'd happen...
Wow. This is one title I just never even hoped for because really, what were the odds? But we've got THE WOLFMAN coming out in February and I guess someone somewhere remembered they had a show that could tie-in. Give it a bit of a TWILIGHT spin on the cover and maybe get some of that crowd, too.Whatever it takes, I'm all for it. Love this show. I'll admit it tried with varying degrees of success for that mix of horror/humor that KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER had before it and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER would perfect after it until they just went for the humor with the last few episodes. I didn't much care for the move to Los Angeles and fully embracing the lighter tone but even those episodes provided one of my favorites of the entire series. I still want to see a "Bride of the Wolfman" movie, darn it!Anyway, Kate Hodge was adorable as werewolf Randi and the chemistry with Neil Dickson as Ian - must've been a school mate of Rupert Giles, I swear - as the would-be lovers (seems like getting frisky with Randi causes the wolf to come out - which really inspires Ian to help find the cure and I don't blame him!) was spot on. The look and atmosphere of the London based episodes push this series above the other syndicated genre shows of the time such as FREDDY'S NIGHTMARES, TALES OF THE DARKSIDE, MONSTERS and the like. And it's about a werewolf! What else do you need?Even if you're not a voracious werewolf fan such as I, there's lots to like in this series. This release makes the pain of losing the WEREWOLF TV series DVD set bearable.

SHE-WOLF OF LONDON SERIES ONE DVD
My fault. I overlooked/missed the fact this was made by ITV and shown in 1990, and sadly it doesn't work too well in 2020. Neither fish nor fowl - Horror/thriller or comedy. What comedy there is comes over as very silly and obvious. The SFX actually aren't too dated, and the saving grace for me is Kate Hodge who makes a believable "She-Wolf. Amazing given the scripts she has. Not a complete failure by any means, but not really worth seeking out

Silly but fun!
She-wolf of London is a short lived comedy/horror series which ran from 1990 to 1991 and was aired on the Sci-fi channel. The series follows the exploits of american university student Randi Wallace who travels to an english university to study mythology. While conducting some research by herself on the english moors she is attacked and bitten by a werewolf and as a result she too is cursed to become a werewolf every full moon. From then on she and her university professor Ian Mattheson try to find a cure and along the way they encounter and battle a number of other supernatural creatures including zombies, demons and vampires in hilarious circumstances while trying to deny the undeniable feelings they have for eachother.Personally I really enjoyed this series but it may not be to everyones liking. If you prefer serious supernatural dramas such as Poltergeist:The legacy, or X-files you may not enjoy this. But if you are looking for something that is fun, cheesy and romantic in a comical way then this series would be ideal for you.My only criticisms for this dvd set is that due to the fact the series was abruptly cancelled there is no satisfactory endning and sadly there are no extras. No audio commentary, no interviews with cast members, absolutely nothing. But please dont let that deter you from buying what I consider to be a very fun and highly under rated television series.

Really good
I can never understand why this wasn’t a bigger hit - perhaps it was down to timing (pre- X files). Dark fantasy tales, full of humour. I particularly love the episodes set in London, which are move off beat and quirky.
