I am 40 years old and have never used self tanner. I'm trying to look less haggard and dull as I age, so I had been shopping around for some tanner suitable for a fair skinned, scared beginner. Also, I'm obsessed with low prices. When I saw this "no need to rinse off," "simply spray it on, let it dry, and live your life" tanning water inexplicably on sale for like $5, I has no reason not to try it! I am giving it 5 stars as my expectations were not high, the bar was low for the price tag, and I knew human error would come into play that I couldn't blame on the product since it was my first time(s) self-tanning. I've now used it 3 times and I think my 2nd round was the best. I think I sprayed a lot more on that time, so I really did look kind of tan for a few days. Where it built up on my feet in the joint areas, rubbing a little bit of The Ordinary glycolic acid toner on a disposable cotton pad on those spots removed the excess sufficiently. I did notice some orangey transfer to my white under-clothing - not ideal but how could that have possibly NOT happened, ya know? It wasn't super bad, mostly on the seams that rub against my skin the most. As this fades it starts to look like I have tons of light orange freckles on my legs if I looked at them really up close. The 3rd time I did it, I showered a few hours later (cuz it does, at least mentally, feel a little icky to dress on top of pure spray tan) to rinse a little of the tan residue off and see how it would go, and I do think it rinsed away the efficacy as my tan was not very apparent after. Maybe I didn't load on the product as much as I had in round 2, but it might have been because I literally washed off the product. So my final verdict is: it gets the job done if you want to be tan for a few days, but you need to really spray it on to where it feels WET, let it dry, DON'T rinse off, and be cute for a dew days until you are freckleville if someone is looking at your skin from a few inches away ;)

I’ve been using this self-tan water on my face for a few weeks and overall, I’m really happy with the results. It gives me a natural, even glow that doesn’t look orange or fake, and it feels super lightweight on the skin — not sticky or greasy.However, there are a couple of things to be aware of. First, it *does* have a bit of a weird smell after it dries — not super strong, but noticeable. Second, if I don’t blend carefully around my jawline or hairline, I occasionally get a faint orange patch the next day. It's not a dealbreaker, just something to watch out for.Still, for the results it gives, I think it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a face tanner that builds gradually and doesn’t clog pores, this is a great option — just take your time applying it and maybe follow up with a light moisturizer to help blend everything in.

I love this brand. So far out of all the tanning products I have use, I even worked in tanning salons, this brand just gives the best color for my skin. I have an olive complexion and upon becoming a mom I haven't been able to tan the way I used too. This product makes me feel confident and not orange at all, looks natural. Only thing was upon delivery, it leaked and the liquid started to go from clear to a slight watered apple juice color. So for sunny days make sure you snag it inside once delivered so that the product does not get ruined. (It does need to be stored in a cool place).

THIS TAN SURVIVED A WILD NIGHT. I’m a self-tan newbie, thought it was going to be a casual Friday, applied the product (exfoliated prior and used a glove to rub in evenly) planned to rise 2-3 hours after. Well shortly after I applied, I saw on tiktok that All American Rejects were playing a free show at a bowling alley in Minneapolis. IMMEDIATELY LEFT MY HOUSE. Stood in the rain for two hours when I suddenly smelled a hint of “tan” CRAP. I forgot I was supposed to to rinse this off. Well, too late now I guess. This ended up being on me until the next morning as I was exhausted when I got home. Didn’t transfer, no streaks or splotches, it’s the perfect color, not too dark, not at all orange. I AM IMPRESSED and will continue to only use this product.

Love the color payout on this product. I’ve been using it for years and repurchase about every 2-3 months to keep a natural looking tan year round. No orange glow here just a beautiful even tan.
