I dont know why there are so many negative reviews! This lead is so comfy to hold, nice size for the hands and very soft material on the handle, other leads had given me blisters after long walks, this one has not done that at all. And for the pice this is GREAT VALUE 👍 unlike the other reviews my lead has not broken and we have a jack Russel that pulls a lot and starts running randomly when walking... this lead had coped perfectly will be buying again, if I need to which judging from my experience so far(2 months so far). nice length, the material has not frayed and nothing has broken. Highly recommend!!

Nice to hold and look at but not chew proof... Puppy chewed straight through It on first walk. Didn't even get off the street. Waste of money if your pups a chewer!

UPDATE: We're now a year or so later and the frayed leashes still haven't broken yet on my cats who now weigh 3 and 4 kilos and are now used to the loud retracting sound (they also come running when they hear me roll the leashes out to go into the garden). We're using the leashes regularly and they still retract well as well. So my original disappointment and terrible expectations were NOT justified. Apologies.---Original review:Already frayed after ONE (!!!) use in garden with 1.5 kilo kitten. So won't last long. The rolling and blocking sounds scare the cats. Ordered 1 blue and 1 pink one, which each block their leash in a different direction, which is VERY confusing. I thought it would be "good enough" for small kittens. But it isn't. Regret my purchase and wish I had bought other ones. Very happy with short (non-retractable) sturdy smooth Trixie leashes. Wish I could find something like that in retractable format...

This lead does exactly what it says it doesn’t do. I use it for my 3 month old puppy and it’s always getting tangled at where leash leaves handle and sometimes it’s unsafe trying to untangle it so I feel there is a bit of false advertising here.The only good thing is that it’s bright pink so easy for everyone to see.Wouldn’t recommend and cannot be bothered to return it but guys please tear it properly

Finally, I found an extendable lead that I can see when it's extended 👍 I have poor sight & this is just brilliant for me. I have 3 other Flexi leads but can't use them as the lead is black & they just blend into the ground for me. This really stands out. I do have small hands with arthritis, hence only 4 stars for being easy to hold & it's heavier than my other 3 so maybe an unfair scoring on that point, as it's relevant to myself. I own a toy breed who is quite flighty & surprísingly strong for her size. I don't have any worries that the lead is going to break. I'm very pleased with the purchase

Nice looking lead, lovely blue colour. The button to lock and release sometimes was abit stiff and unfortunately my puppy use to turn round and chew it sometimes which lead to it snapping whilst we was on a walk after only having it 2 weeks, luckily we managed to grab him before he ran onto the main road. Would probably invest in something with a thicker, stronger lead in future.

The lead snapped after only five months usage, leaving my IN SEASON miniature poodle running across the road towards another dog. Fortunately the dog owner managed to get hold of her by the harness and disaster was averted, but I had to carry her home. Also, the metal hook at the end of the lead is very small and will only just accommodate the double rings on the back of her harness. On a couple of occasions one ring slipped through hook ring leaving the lead attached to only half the harness. Not good enough to be classed as 'Amazon's Choice.'

I purchased this mid September for a show cocker bitch 12kg.Slowly over the past few weeks the strap has worn due to my dog enjoying a roll. The mechanism didn’t always retract and mechanism stuck at times.Today, not only 2 months after purchase it snapped. My dog hasn’t chewed it, it worn.I was 100 yards from home on a busy road when it snapped, fortunately I managed to catch my precious pup.I wanted to return this to inform the supplier, but guess what, no return after 14th October and Amazon recommended this. Don’t think I’ll strust amazo again with their recommendations.DO NOT BUY SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A PET SHOP!
