Great choice for old cat
My cat is 15 years old. Iโve been feeding him this brand his whole life, and for the last two years Iโve switched to the Aging line. He really enjoys it. Heโs very healthy and full of energy, and I believe the quality is excellent, heโs never had any stomach issues. The kibble size is perfect for this old guy. It smelling good and the price is affordable

Great for my 16 year old cat!
My 16 1/2 year old cat has been eating this food for about a year now and itโs great. His weight has been pretty much perfect, his coat looks nice and shiny and he throws up a lot less than he used to so it seems to be kind on the stomach. We are very happy with this food!

Our vet recommended and our cat loves it
A little more expensive than the food he used to eat but worth the price. His vet recommended Royal Canin and he loves it. It appears to be a size and density that is easy to chew and it has no odor.

Discontinued in
Meg loves this food. She has also done well on it health wise. After speaking to Royal Canin this morning by email, they confirmed for me that Aging 12+ dry kibble has been discontinued. They suggested we try Aging 11+ dry kibble or 7+. The people I spoke with said they didn't have provided reasoning for the change. We are waiting for a response as to wither the product can be found outside the United States ... sigh

My Cats Love It
This food has an aroma to eat that my cats love. Both of my cats get issues with constipation, particularly from dry food. For them to eat it, I take a small tupperware container, about 4 ounces. Fill it halfway with the dry. Fill the other half with water. I put it in the fridge and the dry pieces absorb the water, making them about double the size. I buy Hill's Science Diet Senior Adult 7+ Savory Chicken Entree Canned food and I top it with about a dozen pieces of the now mushy Royal Canin dry. I take a fork and mush it down onto the canned. They love it this way. Both of the above foods have relatively lower phosphorus and protein levels compared to other non-prescription dry foods. My cats are 12 years old so those are considerations to help thwart the potential for kidney disease.

Excellent Food, but is it worth the price?
Just not as appealing to our cats as The Royal Canin Ultra Light or the kind that helps their coat become shiny and beautiful. That's the only reason I can understand our three cats' reaction. Somehow, Royal Canin took a little bit of the very appealing flavor away. Still very pricey too compared to Fancy Feast which all of our vets have said is an excellent food. I don't know what justifies this being almost $1.50 per can when we can get Fancy Feast's similarly sized cans for just over $0.50. We've turned to a mix of the two to make our costs for the three cats more affordable.

My cats eat it up and it is basically diet food
This is a more complicated review to do. I am not worried about Celiac's disease in my cats (because there is no such thing). I am worried about how much high quality protein they get, so I assess food brands on that. Filler is filler, grain, vegetables, or potatoes. I get that out front, since for some people non-grain is a priority. My cats are individuals and one likes wet food best and one likes dry food best (in general). One gulps her food (ex-runt of litter) and ones likes to lick and nibble. But basically this is diet food. I see a lot of reviewers that note their cats don't like it as much as something else or non-diet food varieties. Do you like diet food that much? I give it to them, since they are neutered house cats, relatively young. I alternate days with this and various varieties and flavors my cats like (my cats don't eat chicken, not in wet food, raw, cooked, or otherwise so I don't get any of that). I don't like eating the same things everyday, and though cats are a little different, I figure they like a bit of variety and it isn't that expensive to buy some other stuff (think through things like less fish items, since they have more heavy metals). So I buy a variety that they eat up and do those every other day instead (fish (every two times in cycle),beef or venison, poultry they will eat, other like rabbit on the off cycle for fish). As they get more sedentary (and if they gain weight) I would intend to feed them more diet. I figure breaking them in on something later would be harder. They eat this up in a day (small can between two 11 pound cats with some dry on the side. There lots of other foods (non-diet) they do not eat up in a day (I figure that qualifies no votes, especially if they eat very little). So, a diet food they will eat. I like it.
