Sturdy but usable for arthritic hands
Brilliant tool for small sized jobs, I have hard clay and this makes quick work of digging for rose planting. Light enough to use but sturdy enough to have confidence in its abilities. Very easy to out together, no tools required and would not be without it, is now part of my everyday gardening kit.

Sturdy...
The 15 Inches Pick Mattock Hoe is a handy tool for gardening and light digging tasks. It's compact and easy to handle, making it suitable for smaller jobs where precision is needed. The build quality is good, with a sturdy head and a comfortable grip. While it may not be ideal for heavy-duty tasks, it performs well for its intended use and is a great addition to any gardener's toolkit. Overall, it's a reliable and useful tool for those looking for a smaller hoe.

Very handy tool
Donโt you just love bamboo? Three quarters of these roots were taken out with a traditional pick axe. However, as I got nearer the wall and fence, and seeing as my eye/hand coordination is getting worse in my old age, I am now using this tool to finish the job. Donโt get me wrong, it is still hard work, but this little pick is up to the task. Light enough for me to use a few hours at a time (in my sixties) and comfortably in the hand even with heavy duty gloves on, it is breaking up the earth and the roots well enough, whilst still being small enough that I am not going to destroy the fence at the same time Some of the best money I have spent this year!

Wonderful tool for tough jobs
Fantastic. The head is very good. My garden front and rear are full of bricks, rocks and stones. This is light enough to be easy to use, but both ends of the head are sharp and tough enough to get into the ground to be able to place plants. Highly recommend

Combined pick,hoe, mattock short handle
Short handled pick mattock hoe with forged blade. Sturdy and easy it assemble however the blade is an interference fit onto the shaft so care should be taken when fitting head to shift. Once fitted it is a very good tool for breaking and scraping soil a must for detectorists or rudimentary digging or planting

Excellent product - Looks nearly new 100 hours of hard digging later
This is a tool I never knew I needed in my life. I quite literally used this to dig out a trench around my house by hand to improve drainage. This is light, but big enough to make an impact and helped with the small area bigger tools could not get in to. After 100 hours of digging this tool is in the condition I bought it in. I was sceptical about the plastic handle, but it just works and whilst you should never dig near live cables the plastic handle with rubber gloves gave me a little more confidence than it should of.

Perfect tool for the worst soil.
Very pleased with this pickaxe! It's taken a lot of intensive labour out of the backbreaking task of excavating a pair of flower beds from what must be the worst soil in the UK. The pick cuts through sun-baked, compressed ground better than any other digging tool I have at hand, and breaks up the slabs of clay beneath in short order. I completed the first flower bed at a much more rapid pace thanks to the pick, which I consider very reasonably priced. The head did loosen a bit after a few hours of heavy use - keeping a mallet around to knock the head back into place if using for extended periods would probably be a good idea. Nevertheless, I'm entirely satisfied with this tool, and definitely recommend if you need to dig into tough ground.
