My handbag needs evolved a lot over the years after retiring, but it wasn't until yesterday that I figured out what I really needed, and today it was in my hands! (Very impressed with Amazon's one-day Prime shipping.) The purse is real leather that stands up by itself but is not too heavy or bulky. Many designers think more pockets are better, but for me they are more confusing. The Ynique tote model has two zippered pockets outside, one zippered pocket and two small open pockets inside. Instead of many dividers or pockets cluttering up the interior, plenty of room is available for random items. One of the best features is the top zipper that closes the entire bag when you want the contents to be secure. Since the attached handles are large enough to put over my shoulder, I don't expect to use the longer optional shoulder strap. The color and shine of the polished leather, the simple styling, and the brass accents are elegant. The affordable price and great quality make it an excellent bargain, so I don't feel guilty for retiring a plethora of old purses for one that really suits my needs. Shipped quickly...nice packaging. Looks exactly like the photo, the color is right on. Workmanship looks great. Zippers work nicely (very smooth) and the stitching looks strong and even. Fits my 10" Kindle perfectly. It's bigger than I'm used to, but I needed something a little larger for work everyday, so it's perfect. It looks great.I'm no expert...but I suspect this is not real leather as is mentioned in the ad. I'm 99.9% sure it isn't. But it looks like it...so not a big deal to me. But, this brings me to the "smell" issues from other reviewers. Yes. There is a slight oily smell to it if you hold it up to your nose and sniff. I suspect it is the oils rubbed on it to keep the vinyl supple for manufacturing and storage reasons...and I'm sure it will dissipate. If it doesn't, I'll let you know.I live with a husband, two boys and a dog. The smell of my purse is not traumatizing enough to send it back. In fact, there are days where it might be preferable :). I'll just wait for one of the kids to put a half-eaten sandwich in there and not tell me about it for 3 days.
