Solid Reels!
Got these reels for my ultra light rod and my telescopicGot the 500 white and the 3000 black.Pro: Great weight; very light, but feels sturdy. The retrieval is smooth and I really like the collapsible handle on the 500. Nice casting and solid closure on the bail. Premium reel feel on a budget price.Con: None so far, let’s see how it holds up after some use. These are great KastKing reels.

Worth the money
The only review you need to read. This is for freshwater review. NOT FOR SALTWATER!!!These are amazing reels for the price. For anyone who is starting out or is avid fishermen. I been using these 4 to 5 times a week on the biggest lake in PNW. I fish Lake Washington. With 30 different types of fish. And different sizes and weight. With great success.I currently own 3 of these Piscifun Flame reels. On 3 different setups, from pan fish to large mouth and cat fish. My setups are all less then $60 including the line I put on the reel.I I get the smooth cast everytime. From my 5" to 7" pole. Using all size lures and just to a split shot and bober set up for some panfish. You wont be disappointed in this reel. This isn't your cheap plastic walmart reel or reel and combo, you get at walmart. This reel does compete with the Penn or even other high end reels. But for a more affordable price tag. I have mine for a year now. And still cast smooth like day one. I don't keep up with the oiling and other maintenance, becuase I wanted to see how long it will last with neglect, also less $30 I can buy a new one if needed to be. So far over a year of use. And still going strong. I will recommend this to any fresh water fisherman or fisherman. It's a great reel for the beginner or the advance. Would I use this for a bass competition, probably. Lol.So here my setup for pan fish and basic bass fishing. If you are new to fishing or just wanting a nice cheap freshwater setup.Panfish - Bluegill, sunfish, pumpkin seeds, perch, white or black crappie, etc.I use a shakespeare micro series rod. This is my 5" rod. Ultra light. Great to feel even the smallest bites.Around $20 on amazon.Bigger fish - Trout, Bass, Walleye, etc.Berkley Cherry Wood HDThis is a full wood rod. Coming in around 6'6 and also a 7" rod. Medium/heavy. Now before you say why would you want a Medium/heavy for trout or even walleye. This has a tip of a light rod (meaning you can fill small bites), but the back bone of a heavy rod. I pulled 13lbs fish in on 8lbs test thanks to this rod. This is like the name says. Made of cherry wood, so the tip is easily breakable. But wont break from weight of bigger fish. It's great rod. I been using them for 15+ years now. And own multiple sizes.Around $20 on amazon.I use berkely invisible line on all my reels. Just personal choice.

Initial impressions of the Centurion 500 **Update after fishing with it**
I've been fishing for close to 50 years. I've fished for bass, bream, catfish, crappie, redfish, sheeps head, speckled trout, sharks, crevalle jack, African pompano, tarpon, snook and a few others. I have had spinning, baitcast and fly rigs and everything from the cheapest thing that a poor kid could get his hands on to some fine Penn, Diawa, Quantum, Orvis and Shimano reels. As far as spinning reels, this thing, right out of the box, feels like a really high end reel. It feels so smooth and balanced, the fit and finish is excellent!I've been looking at the Kastking brand for a while now but not really willing to "take a chance" on some Chinese brand. Then I realized that almost all the top brands are made there anyway, and the 500 was only $23 so I ordered it.I also love the direct sales model. I get as many things as I can from companies that sell that way, you aren't paying a middle man and everything I get has better quality and performance per dollar than their competitors.......I think Kastking is the same way. Now, I haven't had the time to spool the reel up yet but I live on a lake so it won't be long before I get some line on it and go for some blue gills off the dock. When I get some time in on the reel I'll check back in and edit this review accordingly. As for now, it looks like this was a great purchase and there will be some baitcasters from Kastking in my very near future!**update**After fishing this reel a half dozen times I have a more complete review. I have caught a number of bluegill and red-ear bream as well as a few small bass. It has been a fantastic reel. It has met the expectations I had, this reel is worth twice what it costs and then some. It fits the need for a ultralight reel for out on our lake as well as being tucked into my pack for mountain stream trout fishing! If you're on the fence about the KastKing brand, I would not hesitate any longer! Just order one, go, do it now.

Awesome reels
I've had a couple for a few years now and they are the smoothest winding and the smoothest drag I've used, with that said I havent spent 100 bucks on an open face either...... they have held up nicely, the only complaint I have is if you wind with loose line at the start they are prone to get the line up under, behind the spool or worse yet even deeper. If you can remember to keep a tight line b4 you wind it virtually eliminates this problem. To the manufacturers.... if the spool was a quarter inch longer at the line reservoir and a quarter inch longer towards the handle I think this would also solve the problem. A wider reservoir for the line is a HUGE plus in open face reels.... HUGE.... All in all I absolutely love these reels. I now have 5 of them I think. For the money you cannot come close. If you have any doubts please try one. I promise you wont be disappointed. As a matter of fact I think you will be amazed. I love mine.....
